Craft Paper For Printing & Folding

The description of this paper fulfilled my needs for what i was looking for. I would recommend this paper package for crafts only! i WASN'T looking for a thick paper, gram density, or whatever you call the thickness of the paper... neither was i looking for a glossy finish. i was looking for a matte finish and this was it. but deciding on how you're using the matte finish was my perception, which in my case i was using it for origami and 3d art projects... for example i needed something that would increase the contrast and color of the ink on the paper i also needed something FLEXIBLE and this paper IS flexible for sure, i was molding the paper with hot glue to create 3d objects ... it was a success but to be honest the price seemed high for such a low quality paper...

almost great

excellent for two-sided printing, with minimal showthrough, but the product was better when it was 36 pound thickness, instead of the current 33. Please bring back the 36 pound version!

This product is not what I expected

I do not consider this paper to be photo paper. It is more like heavier plain paper. I have purchased matte photo paper in the past and it had the same weight as glossy photo paper. I am not happy with the purchase.

Great Colors!

I have used this paper for years. It has been awesome for endless art projects. The color saturation you get with this paper is excellent. The weight is a little heavier than regular paper, which makes it perfect for my uses (collages, cards, etc...). I depend on this paper for many of my jobs which involve reproducing logos and artistic imagery. Note to buyers: If you want to print images and make things/art projects with them, this is it! If you want to simply print photographs for display, this is probably not it. Don't stop making this paper!

photo paper weight too light

I ordered this product because it was photo paper and printable on both sides. I normally use matte photo paper like this for greeting cards, thank you notes, etc. After receiving the paper I noticed that the weight is only 33 lb and is too light for these uses. It is my fault for not researching deep enough to check the paper weight.

Not what I expected - my fault

This paper is good for what it was designed for. However, I wanted something heavier to make calendars with so purchased the right HP item at my local Office Depot store.

only like computer paper

I like matte photos but this paper isn't thick, in fact it reminds me of just plain computer paper. This would be better if it had some thickness.

Bought this for digital scrapbooking. It is more like paper that photo paper. Yes the picts printed out nice, but to me it is NOT photo paper. Won't buy again, and I have 97 sheets left. What to do with that?

Great paper

I use this paper to print out index prints in my notebook for all my flash drive photos. The paper is cheap and you can print on both sides of the paper, and still get a good looking picture. I also use the Everyday photo paper-glossy finish for this purpose. that paper is a little heavier, but you can't print on both sides. So I use a sheet of the glossy paper every so often to stabilize the thinner matte everyday paper. Nice paper and HP has had them at a really good price lately also. It is always nice to have a cheaper paper available to print pictures where you want good quality temporarily. This morning I needed a sample of the color of my rug in the living room to take to the fabric store. I took a digital picture of the rug, printed on the HP everyday -gloss paper and took the picture with me. It worked great. As usual HP products are GREAT!

Good product

I use this paper for scrap booking and find it works well. The quality is quite clear and can be printed on both sides.

what is this stuff FOR?

i ordered this "photo paper" by mistake. HP Customer Service was very kind about the return. this paper is about as thick as regular printer paper. i'm mystified as to what someone would use this stuff for. it's nothing LIKE photo paper. you might as well just use regular paper.

Not as good as expected

For the past 8 years I've used HP Everyday Photo Paper for a calendar I create for my family. This year the HP Everyday Photo Paper that I ordered is a lighter weight. It's not as good as the heavier weight that I've used in the past.

Very disappointed

I have used the Everyday Photopaper, Matte - 6.5mil, 135g/m (36lb) for a number of years doing fund raising calendars for dog rescue group. About 14 months ago I purchased close to 40 cartons of this paper from a local national office supply store. The paper I used last year on the fund raising projects was the paper I had been using for years. This year I opened what turned out to be the last box of the 36lb. paper and the rest of the boxes contained HP Newest incarnation of the Everyday Photopaper, Matte - 6mil, 125g/m (33lb) paper. It says on the package that it is double sided just like the older paper but let me tell you it isn't. Prints show through, it is flimsy and it stays wet for at least 24 hours after printing. My Printers are HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless, and an older HP Officejet 7410xi All-In-One which I dearly love. I also have a HP Color Laser Jet 2840 machine. The older 36lb. Everyday Photo Paper could be used on my HP Color Laser Jet 2840. I would print the monthly calendar on one side and color photos on the other. Worked beautifully. The newer Everyday Photo Paper, Matte, 33lb. cannot be used on the Color Laserjet and is barely useable on their own inkjet printers. My question to Hewlett Packard is, What are you doing to a perfectely good company. Your papers are not as good as they used to be and your newer printers are going down the same path.

HP--Don't EVER Change this Paper!!

I've been using this paper for all my 'fine art' needs for 10+ years and live in fear that some day I will go to the 'store' and no longer find it there. I have only used it on HP printers (many models, though) and it gives the most gorgeous rendering of anything graphic. I use it the most for scrapbooking pages that are saturated with color. You couldn't ask for better rendering! And it's thick enough to take big blocks of color (and even 2-sided), but thin enough that 2 pages will fit in a plastic 'sleeve protector'. With moderate care, I have seen no loss of color going back 10+ years. I HIGHLY recommend this product and HP, don't you EVER change it or stop making it!!!

Great for photo cards

I've been using Everyday Photo Paper Matte for years. Photos appear quite clear and colorful. I use it for my photo quarter-fold greeting cards (with Photoshop and Printmaster), tri-fold Holiday letter with photos front and back (Photoshop), and other projects that require quality output (e.g., my wife's scrapping). The paper has a heavy-duty quality feel, is very white, and meets my needs whenever standard photo paper is just too heavy-weight, thick or glossy.
