It has a small tube on top of the clock that tilts so you can project the image wherever you want it to show up (wall or ceiling). You can also focus the display since it might be close or farther away. This has been a very good clock for us. I recommend it. I hope this helps.JOHNNY H : Yep, it sure does. Projector Operation (meaning the time display) IMPORTANT: The projected image will be most visible when the room is dark. The image may not be visible during daylight hours or in a brightly lit room. 1. Press the PROJECTOR ON/OFF button to turn the projector ‘On’. 2. Turn the projector housing slowly to aim the projected image on your wall or ceiling.SCOTT J : Yes it can do both! It is on a swivel, so it can show the time on both! Just buy this. PERFECT!!!!

Timex never fails. The best thing about it is the alarm. I use both alarms because I'm afraid I might turn off the first and go back to sleep. It's good to have a backup. I love the way that the time set automatically out of the box, updated with no problem for daylight savings time. I love that this clock is so low maintenance. Easy to set alarms and you can choose to have the alarm sound just during the week or just on the weekend. And the flashlight is a very handy addition! You can't beat this for the price. I definitely recommend it.

disappointed

Bought this clock for its features but wound up disappointed with the most important one - the alarms. Radio would not work with alarms and made a funny noise. Display for tunning in stations would only work periodically.
