Ikelite Underwater Camera Housing for Canon Powershot SD-1000/1100 & Ixus-70/80 Digital Cameras

This compact digital housing is molded of corrosion free clear polycarbonate, it is virtually indestructible with heavy duty walls that allow it to operate safely to 60m (200 feet).

All functions of the camera are accessible, except the print button. A flash diffuser is included to aid in improving lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used to illuminate subjects underwater.

Accessory lens port adapters # 9306.80 and 9306.81 (not included) are available for the attachment of Ikelite, Inon, or Epoque external wide-angle lenses.

Optional color filters #6441.32 for tropical blue water and #6441.72 for green water settings provide color correction in sunny conditions up to 80' (24m). For use without a strobe.

For optimum lighting underwater an optional DS series Substrobe is recommended. The DS Substrobes are brighter, recycle faster and offer wider coverage. Being farther from the camera lens, the optional DS Substrobe aids in reducing the illumination of particles in the water, thus helping to eliminate backscatter

An external DS Substrobe is triggered off the camera's built-in flash by the optional EV Manual Controller, which provides 10 power settings for precise control of strobe output. Click on the Recommended Strobes button at bottom of this page for complete strobe systems.

An optional #9523.31 Release Handle and Tray is required to attach DS SubStrobes. The Release Handle allows easy attachment and removal of Ikelite strobe mounting arms at the touch of a button.
