ILFORD FP4 Plus is an exceptionally fine grain, medium speed black and white film. It builds on the quality and reputation of ILFORD FP4 and continues the ILFORD reputation in medium speed films. Compared with FP4, it has finer grain and shorter processing times. When given standard development it has a speed rating of ISO 125/22° to daylight. FP4 Plus has a high acutance emulsion which, combined with its fine grain and exposure latitude, ensures superlative quality the ideal film to use for all high quality indoor and outdoor photography, particularly when giant enlargements are to be made. FP4 Plus is versatile and will give useable results even if it is overexposed by as much as six stops, or underexposed by two stops. FP4 Plus is compatible wit h all major processing systems including those which give the standard short fixing and washing times. There is no need to change standard processing techniques when switching to FP4 Plus from FP4, or any other ISO 125/22° film. FP4 Plus is very robust during processing, giving excellent results under most conditions, and will also tolerate processing conditions that are less than ideal.

Good overall film
Nice fine grained film to use with my Speed and flashbulb photography. Can't go wrong FP4, hard to screw up a shot with this film.

I like this film for being low grain and slightly faster than ISO 100. It has a nice contrast and as always a quality product from Ilford.
With Eastman and most of the smaller European manufactures out of the picture, Ilford is still available. It has always been of the finest quality, both this medium speed FP4 and it's higher speed HP5. Both are consistently high quality and develop using a variety of existing Kodak and Ilford developers.
FP4+ is a fantastic medium speed film. I love it in both 135 and 120. Tonality is very nice (not clinical looking like Tmax/Delta) and grain is fairly fine-- just don't use an ultra-sharp developer-- save that for PAN F+ or Delta/TMax. Overall, the 3 pack is a fantastic deal if you don't want to commit to a full 100' roll.
I really like the look of this film, and it is very easy to work with. I have developed it in Ilford DDX and Kodak XTOL with great results. You will still notice a very slight hint of fine film grain if you are scanning 35mm negatives (I don't do wet prints), but the film is still very sharp and fine-grained. Most importantly, it has a VERY sharp, dramatic classic look and is great for portraits and outdoor photography.
good film for a beginner.
I always get my orders prompt, the product is the best quality for me
Awesome film in a nice-priced three-pack! Love the way this film renders
I shot film back in the 80's, went digital in the 1990's, and recently decided to get back into film based on the crazy-cheap prices of used medium format gear. Decided to try FP4, and it has not disappointed. It seems to have a very wide exposure latitude (which is nice when using antique cameras without built in light meters). I process this myself (a simple enough proposition) and am doing my own enlargements. All said, this film and this process has re-awakened my "muse". I couldn't be happier. Four stars instead of five because, honestly, I don't have a sufficient frame of reference to go above that.
I really like the low grain. The contrast was better than expected. I am extremely happy with the results.
I have used every 35mm film on the market and ilford fp4 plus in combination with pyrocat-hd developer gives me the best results.
