Works great, I am using it for processing various B&W stocks in combination with Ilfosol 3.

Useful fixer, good for a first timer. I?ve reused it about 5 times now and it?s still going strong!

Works great, and the concentrate stays stable a long time! Working solution lasts a couple months or about a dozen rolls of film, whichever comes first. I make working solution by diluting up to a one-quart bottle size and reuse that for a couple months, so this bottle of concentrate is good for an inconvenient two and a half quart-size batches. Oh well, I'll keep buying more!

I haven't owned a chemical darkroom for decades. But after learning about "Caffenol" (a high-quality DIY B/W film developer made from coffee, vitamin-c powder, and hardware-store washing soda), I decided to burn some more B/W film. However, there's no good DIY fixer yet. The closest that people have come is a super-saturated salt solution... which takes DAYS and even WEEKS to finish fixing one's negatives. So I bought this old fav: Ilford Rapid. I KNOW it'll work superbly, and I'm just about to "Caffenol" my first rolls... so THAT's the more uncertain part now! But Ilford Rapid Fix isn't uncertain at all!

A standard, fast working fixer from Ilford. The concentrate is long-lasting, the made up dilutions as well- longer than stated by the producer.

Everything went great for my first development EVER. Found an old exposed roll of 620 film in a brownie bow camera that I purchased online and the results were amazing! Who thought you could develop a roll of film left in a camera for 60 years absolutely love the products.

I've never worked with anything Ilford made up till very recently, and I'm quite happy to report that Ilford Rapid Fixer is very much worth the money, especially considering how little it costs. I used it at recommended dilution, and was able to use it to fix four rolls of Ilford HP5 from a single batch. It sells for a little more on other sites, so buying form Adorama saves you a couple bucks. Worth the money!

I use a 1:4 mix for film and 1:9 mix for printing. The concentrate has a long shelf life and the dilutions can be resued.
