This is not the latest version of Lexar's flagship CF cards but for still photography I find them completely adequate for the job. The newer versions write quicker so there might be an advantage to those who take movies with their DSLR. For me there is no advantage with the higher speed.

No complaints. I shoot only Nikon and I only use Lexar or Sandisk semi or pro cards. I've never had an issue with Lexar CF cards and I've shot almost 200,000 images in the last 3 years alone.

Just got back from 7 days in Luang Namtha, LPDR. I had ordered two of these cards to compliment the one I had bought back in June. All three worked like a charm. Shooting in Raw on my D700 burns up capacity quickly, but I managed approx 600 photos per card. I expect a great deal from Lexar and they have never disappointed me.

I do a lot of macro... and light is a real problem. At 233X ambient sunlight at f14 allows a 125th of a second exposure on the anther in a flower. Don't ask me how... I just know that a faster memory makes a faster camera. With 8GB I'll never run out of room.

I purchased this card to go along with my new D700 camera. I was concerned that I needed higher capacity than my previous 2 and 4MB Lexar CF cards. This card performed well and was reliable just as all my other Lexar media have been over the past eight years. I have never had a problem with my Lexar cards with a history of over 21,700 photographs as testament to their reliability and performance.

Price was right. Didn't have to fuss with the whole rebate hassle that other companies continuously use.

I checked with Nikon before buying this, but they would not guarantee this card would work, as they only testes smaller cards. It did work flawlessly, and stored more than 2000 RAW + Basic pictures. I did not have to download for my entire vacation.

Memory and Speed are great from shooting to down loading on to computer. Love to do a photo shoot {Weddings to Boat Racing }and only have one file versise four or five files when shooting 12 megapixels in Raw, I have not yet filled an 8 GB card in a photo shoot. I have only used Lexar memory cards in the last 7 years and I have not had one fail. You will not be disapointed in the 8GB 233x speed for the money, only wish I new what to do with all my smaller and slower Lexar memory cards, the 256 ,512 ,1 GB,2 GB and 4 GB.

I bought this as a back up to my Lexar UDMA 300x CF card. Downloads to my computer are not as fast as the 300x card but very good.

The Lexar Professional 233x CompactFlash (CF) memory card provides reliable high-speed performance so you can capture high-quality images and get the most out of your DSLR equipment. The Lexar Professional 233x CF card is ideal for advanced photo enthusiasts and professional photographers who demand optimal performance from both the memory card and DSLR camera they use. The card is capable of minimum sustained write speeds of 35MB per second when paired with a UDMA-enabled device, so you can keep shooting.
The incredibly fast read/write speeds of the card fully leverage your camera's high-speed processor and accelerate image download times, making it a top choice among professional photographers. The Lexar Professional 233x CF card includes Lexar Image Rescue 3 software, which reliably recovers most photo, video and audio files, even if they've been erased or the card has been corrupted. The software can also reformat the card, securely delete images and report on the overall condition of the card, so you can ensure it's in perfect working order for your next shoot. The software is available for free download with purchase of the card.
