Questions & Answers

Shopper : will the 400x rate work well with the canon 7d full HD video?MICHAEL L : I have been using lexar 32GB 400x for about a year w Canon 5D mark ii for both photo and HD video. They are very fast and having that large a capacity for photos is very nice. I would expect similar performance w the 7d.MIKE T : I USE THE 32GB 400X COMPACT FLASH CARD IN MY NIKON 300S. I DO NOT USE THE HD VIDEO MODE.WILLIAM P : I used the 5d mark 2 for HD video with this card and it worked very well. Had no problems at all.LEONARD G : The cards have worked well for me but I do not do video.ROBERT B : very fast card, works well with 7d in video modeJOSHUA S : Should... works well in the D3S. but... back up frequently...had three of these fry and lost all images!!!MICHAEL A : These work great with the 7d. I use both the 5d, 5d MarkII and 7d with great performance. It's nice to have a larger card for video projects and I've pushed these to the limit with great results.ROMAN P : oh yeah, i use them on the weekly basis i have a lot of lexar 16gb x400, and 32gb x400, and few x600 and they perform pretty much on the same level for video, the only difference i do see between X400 and x600 is when dumping the cards on my computer the X600 might be like up to a min faster. (more like 20-40 sec) (im using lexar pci-e reader in my macbook pro and through the gigabit network onto my raid 0 and it hake for a full 32gb about 4 min for X600 and closer to 5 for my x400 cards P.s. im using them in 5dm2 cameras not 7d but for video shouldn't make a difference.Phillip V : Yeah. Doesn't matter what speed card you have necessarily but just how much storage you need.MICHAEL F : Yep... These cards are great. I just shot photo and video for a wedding, and these cards worked like a charm in my 7D.
Bill A : are these type 1 or type 2 cf cards?JIM W : They are type 1 - 3.3 mm thick.PAM B : Should be type 1. I measured them, and they are indeed 3 mm thick. PamCRAIG C : They are type 1 cards, the kind used by nearly all DSLRs.TOM P : type 1,BRAD W : Type 1
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?ROBERT R : because I wanted to have sufficient storage capacity should I order the new Nikon D4 or D800

excellent product

I am a wedding and event photographer, using two D800 cameras, and this product is ideal for the large files these cameras produce. they write very quickly, so there's no buffer stall, even when shooting rapidly-if you can call four frames per second rapidly. they also have great storage capacity. I love them, and will continue too use them.

Unable to Format and Corrupt Images

I have have many instances this year coming away from a wedding and finding a few corrupt images...lost a cake-cutting! Almost every time I shoot a few hundred images a couple will be corrupt. Also an issue now with a 2nd card that cannot be formatted in camera or PC. I have about 8 of these but I think I need to switch to SanDisk.

Working well

I've used this card in a 5D Mk II since Dec. 2011 with no problems. I've shot thousands of frames on it and formatted it over and over. I have not used it for video though, so I can't speak about that. It transfers pretty fast with a Sandisk Firewire 800 reader. Knock on wood, but so far, so good.
