Works like a charm

This card reader has decreased wait time from 30-40 mins to 7 or 8 minutes. Perfect for the photojournalist on the move. Keeping the reader closed in it's case is a beautiful design idea.

Nice Quality and Design

Purchased a cheap CF card reader first (not from Adorama) with a shallow reciever. It was combersome to use and ultimatly damaged the pins in the reader from misalignment of card/reader. This reader has a deep reciever (similar to my D700) and thus no alignment concerns. Self-contained case is nice to protect it during travel and to keep the dust out. Very fast reader with nice quality. USB cord is long and is detachable.

Everything it's supposed to be

It works exactly as advertised. When you need to access the card slots, you push the buttons on the side and it pops open. When you want to put it away, you push down and it stows securely.

Great reader

Great reader, we mostly use CF cards at our Newspaper. Quickly transfer video and photos. The slot for the CF card is deep so it doesn't bend the pins, a problem with other readers. Good price, good value. We have several pro-CF cards which won't read on other card readers in the office, this seems to work well with those cards.

great reader

Great card reader. Work in the newspaper industry, we use this reader for CF cards mostly, to transfer photos and video, quick transfer, deep CF slot so pins won't bend a problem with other readers. Reads our Pro-cards which other readers won't read. Overall great product.

great card reader

Work in the newspaper industry. Use it to transfer photo files to our computer system. It has a deep slot for the CF card which help to prevent the pins from bending. Fast transfer of files. Great product so far.

Good reader, works, but not USB 3

This is the second one I have purchased (because I have found them to be so handy). I like the fact that it closes, so dust does not get into it while traveling or on location. Note that this model is NOT USB 3.0, only USB 2.0. If you have older computers, that doesn't matter, but if you are upgrading soon, you should look at the newer model. This model works great, and I have been using my other one for about 6 months or more. I bought an extra one to keep in my bag while traveling. It just works, and SD cards and CF cards fit well into the mechanism. Good build quality, and I like this one very much (better than my SanDisk models). Recommended, quality item by Lexar.

Nice Card Reader

Very sturdy design and the card slots are protected from debris when the unit is closed. I care this with me a lot so the closed while traveling feature is great.

Fantastic gadget; "Get One"

I only use two types of memory cards in my DSLR's and one is definately Lexar brand. When I saw that Lexar had a card reader that does the job of three others I had, I jumped for the chance to replace the others. "No disappointment on my part".
