This monopod seems to be ideal for smallish cameras such as Leica's M series. Using carbon fiber technology it weighs less than a pound without a camera or (tripod) head. Its length is exactly right for me (6 feet tall) in that, with my Dolica ball head between the monopod and the camera, I can extend all the sections fully so that the rangefinder is right at eye level. Importantly, the monopod has a reversible mounting stud so that one can use a tripod head with either a 1/4 or 3/8-inch socket. Thanks to Adorama's excellent fulfillment, the monopod was delivered the day after I ordered it.

Elegant, well made. Very light (.75 pounds) yet strong enough to handle 17.6 pounds of camera equipment. I liked the pouch that comes with the monopod; it allows you to wear it on your belt. It comes with a 1/4" or 3/8" screw attachment and a handy wrench. Whether you'll be mounting directly to your camera or a tripod head you'll be ready right out of the box.

I've used an Induro Carbon Tripod and Ball Head for three years. Although lightweight, there are times when it is too bulky to carry. The monopod is the solution, especially when used with a Tilt-Head. The belt-mount holster makes carrying it a breeze.
