Induro QRT Series Quick Release Clamp with PU70 Plate

Bought my first one of these around 2009 when they were made under the Benro name. I wanted something for a monopod that used the Arca-Swiss plates but didn't add the complexities of a pan/tilt. Have used it for over 2,000 hours attached to either a Canon 300mm f2.8 or 400mm f2.8 mounted on a Canon 1D body (starting with the 1Ds Mark III thru my current 1DX Mark III.) It's been a solid performer and is still used today. Only maintenance it's required is filing down a bur on the knob when I dropped onto a driveway while attached to a monopod. Haven’t even blown out the dust from the indoor arenas or hair from the animals I photograph. I purchased this Induro when assembling a backup monopod. Benro does make a similar Arca-Swiss plain clamping head but it has a bubble level. As mentioned, I don't like extra features on my gear and a bubble level isn't anything I'll ever use. I got ahold of Benro support who informed me the old style head was now made under the Induro name. The only flaw I found in the Induro model compared to the much older Benro version is the white center mark. The Benro is marked on both sides, the Induro is only marked on the knob side. When I connect my camera, I view the side without the knob. Keep meaning to create my own mark as I know where each lens needs to be for balance on the monopod. For the price, still the best simple Arca-Swiss plate mount I've found. Will by again if ever I need a third monopod setup.

Very useful, the clamp matches the swiss-plate connection of my Benro tripod so I don't have to change connection plates when using the mono and/or tri pods.

This is a great addition to the Induro monopod I have. It is well built and easy to install. It has no problem holding my D700 w/grip and a 70-200 lens. If your are looking for a quick release clamp for your tripod or monopod this is a great choice.
