Nice little camera

I wanted a water proof camera and was looking at the different ones. I decided to go with a refurbished camera to save some money. The only thing that would give me the idea that it was refurbished was that it came in a basic white box. I only used the camera a couple times under water and I am happy with the pictures. I shout some video with it and not in the best lighting conditions and the video came out pretty good. It's a nice little camera

Great Camera for Snorkling!

I'm a photo enthusiast and I wanted something I could use in the lake, ocean and pool and this compact beauty makes it fun and easy. The buttons are small enough to eliminate the need for a cumbersome case, but with a depth limit of 59ft, I can go pretty deep. It's so simple to use and operate too! My only problem is that some of my photos don't have the quality they would with a professional grade camera, but for price and it's uses, I won't complain.

Very nice small camera with many feature

The GPS is super and wifi is neat but software doesn't work with my Nook Android tablet, only iPod. Canon software works with Nook. Haven't tried it underwater yet. Picture quality is very good. The lens position on upper corner is great for flower closeups. I added a piece of non slip rubber to the front of the smooth case to make the camera easier to grip.

A really good all-around camera

I bought this AW110, as opposed to some other pocket-sized unit, because I do underwater photos. I've started to do underwater video as well as stills. The ability to shoot high-def video down to as deep as I wish to dive is a real plus, and the macro ability is excellent. The 16 mPix compensates for only 5X telephoto. The turn-on and recovery speed is almost as fast as my Nikon DSLR. But get a spare battery if you do video.

A lot in a small package

I have the original AW100 and like that camera but wanted the ability to share a photo occasionally. I can do that of course from my iPhone, but the AW110 gives me more flexibility. No weather-resistant "rugged" compact is great from the photo quality standpoint. The protective glass covering over the lens reduces sharpness. But the AW is better than most and has a lot of features crammed in an attractive and relatively inexpensive body. Main complaint is cluttered smallish control buttons. The zoom controls I found much more hard to use over the AW100's.

Great So Far

Image quality is very good for this class of camera. Happy so far. I've had it under water a couple times and there's been no sign of the screen failure you read a lot about with this model. Yet. Buying refurbished probably helps. The two things I'd like improved: more screen display options for playback (e.g. show me ISO level, etc. Maybe I just haven't found it yet.); better write times ... seems like many Nikon P&S cameras write slow, but this is really slow.
