This one of those little parts that for a Nikon camera that no one else makes but Nikon and are hard to find second hand. Good thing these battery covers are fairly indestructible, and still available as new stock for those of us still using D3 cameras.

I bought this along with a new battery to replace an aging battery in an old D3 that I recently picked up for shooting action events.

Fit battery and camera perfectly as should be for OEM parts

I attach it to my backup battery for my D3s, so when I travel, I wouldn't forget anything.  I do have it attached to the battery while it's being charged...  Works great...

I bought this to make swapping batteries in and out of my D3 a simple and quick affair.  Its design is simple.  It is a bit bulky in my bag, but I can accept that for the speed of swapping batteries in the middle of a shoot.

Great Accessory

I  purchased it as a Back-Up for my D3.   It is really a MUST HAVE ... lose the original or drop it in the wrong place,  and you are out-of-business.
