This is such a simple yet necessary item. I had to original one that came with my D70 for 5 years before someone else used my camera and lost it. You NEED it to protect the display. I wouldn't be without it. You may want to also get a popup cover for outdoor shooting in sunlight but you will still need this one.

Does what it is supposed to,which is protect the LCD screen on the camera. Snaps on easily,and works well.

I didn't use the one that came with my camera at first but fast learned that it was not a good thing to do. This is something that offers great protection to your camera

What more can a piece of clear plastic do? It protects the LCD screen from dust, sand, dirt, and scratches. One issue (and it's probably my fault): when I hold the camera in the vertical position, I end up breathing on the cover and it fogs up both the cover and the LCD screen. Takes a while to clear out since the screen protector has such a close fit.

Does a good job protecting LCD. Clicks on securely but can, on rare occasion, pop out with rough camera use. I have also used PDA protective film on my D70's LCD.
