I have the D90 with 18-105mm lens and this case is a perfect fit. It has the nice smell of real leather and is nicely constructed. When I am traveling with my regular backpack or large purse this soft case is the exact type cover I need to carry it inside them. It protects the camera and lens from minor bumps, scratches and dust. Not from drops! If I must carry more gear, lenses or flash I need a larger case. There is very little padding so you will still need a nicely padded case for storage and camera transport. I hope that this will work with an 18-200mm lens, too. There seems to be a little extra room at the lens end so I think it should.

The Nikon Case is great protector for my Nikon D80 plus 18-200mm lens. Fits in my camera bag to add protection and quick access to take just the camera and leave my camera bag behind for short durations. I have the same type of case for my Nikon D40 as well. I use the case to take just my camera while taking pictures at family outings, while traveling on vacation and other events where I don't want to take a large camera bag and don't want to carry the camera unprotected by its shoulder strap.

I originally used my Nikon D50 typically with a 28-80mm lens that came with the camera. I have been using a case I had bought at the time. When I switched to a Tamron 18-270 travel zoom, the old case no longer fit the old case. This leather case is much nicer than my old case and holds D50 with the lens securely and is reasonably easy to get off the camera.

A great camera case when I'm only transporting my DSLR. Case releases from camera with an easy to open side-snap. A must accessory for high quality cameras.

The only negative would be that the lens hood doesn't fit with the 18-200 but I just carried it in my purse and put it on when I needed it. I used this for our vacation in Disney as I didn't want to have to carry my backpack with all equipment.

I had a bigger case, less convenient.This one is lightweight and easy to remove quickly when I take it along on trips to take pictures.

Good case but doesn't have a strap of it's own to put over your shoulder or attach to your belt when you are using the camera. You have to throw it on the ground or ask someone to hold it for you. That's kinda awkward. Otherwise it is great.

I carry a nylon camera bag with no padding, so having this case gives the camera some more protection. I have a quick-release base for mounting on a tripod on the camera body, and it's a tight fit, but the case is big enough to leave it on.

Tight fit, but this cover also works with the 18-135mm zoom lens with the lens hood attached.

I bouhg this case to use as a back-up to my camera bag. When I only want to carry the camera and 18-70 lens (also fits my 70-210 zoom lens) it's a great case. Fits the camera well and protects the camera from bangs and scratches.

If you travel with just one lens, this is what you want! My 18-200VR lens fits (although little tight) in this case.
