Nice Case

from Michigan  -  Semi-pro Photographer

This is a useful camera case, put far from perfect. The case does a good job of fully covering the camera, but it is either full on or full off. That is the problem with all the cases for Nikon DSLR and film cameras. Nikon needs to go back to the drawing board and come up with a case that use can use as you shoot with the camera. Something in two pieces, so you have protection on the bottom half of the camera whie you shoot. This would be what Nikon used for years. Something similar to cases for the F3, or FM2n or FE2 cameras. This case is useful, but not near as useful as it should be for an active shooter.

Questions about this item:

mark p  will it work with 24-70 Nikon?
ADRIAN F  I ordered my d800 the first of June and haven't received it yet. I have a d7000 body and the 24-70 lens that does fit in the d800 case, although there is not a lot of extra room. The d800 body is 3.2 inches deep while the d7000 body is 3.0 inches deep. It should just barely fit. I wish I had my d800 body so I could tell you for sure. I'm anxious to get my hands on it. Hope this helps.
Shopper  Can this Item can be use if the camera has the battery grip on?
Andrew R  While Nikon does indicate that this case is compatible with the D800/800E with lens attached, they do not specify compatibility with a grip. It is doubtful that this will fit with grip attached.
Garry C  Does this case work with the Nikon 28-300mm and 16-35mm lenses attached? Also, does the lens hood also fit into the case?
NICHOLAS M  Have a 28-300 ED. It just fits. Don't have the shade on.
