Shopper : When shooting in RAW, is the write speed that slow as some have claimed? Has anyone used the ML-L3 wireless remote with this camera? And are you able to use wireless triggers for external flashes? Thanks in advance for any responses.JIM C : It may be slow but this is not a D3. I bought it for family photos and vacations because the D3 and three lens and flash were too much to haul around. Not all subjects require the use of the RAW setting so this camera will give excellent results shooting in JPG fine. My biggest complaint is that only Nikon View NX2 can open the raw format at this time. You can not open the NRW files in Photoshop until Nikon releases the necessary fix to other companies. You can't get much more camera at the price it is selling. This is not very technical info but more of a practical evaluation.SURESH S : When shooting RAW, the write speed of your photo on the card varies on what card you use and the speed of the card also matters. If you are using a pro-level card that has more than or equal to 60MB/sec, need not worry. Also if you shoot on Contious Shutter mode, you might see a difference. Other than that RAW mode doesn't make any noticeable difference for Single Shutter shots. Logically if there is a flash hot shoe, we can use the wireless flash trigger. But I have not tried this. Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?NED P : Liked the P7700 but really wanted an eye level Electronic View Finder (EVF) so I upgraded. My 7800 came with a Lowepro bag and a 16 gig card. Love the camera. The best feature is the video recording. Takes great photos but the videos are excellent. Nice solid feel to the body. The articulated monitor is a feature not available on most cameras.
