Bought it. It broke. Had the receipt (thank Goodness-be sure to hold on to that or it won't get fixed at all). Sent it back. They lost all my pictures/videos, but they fixed the camera - for 2 weeks anyway. Have the same problem AGAIN - camera WON'T turn on. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I was looking for a simple point and shoot camera in a small size that takes great quality photos. This camera is excellent in all categories. It is so compact that we take it everywhere, and thus are able to capture photos that might otherwise be missed. Uploading photos to a computer was simple and successful the first try. I had to order a special micro pin type D HDMI cable for the camera end, and a standard HDMI plug on the other end so I could show photos on my 60" HDTV. This cost less than $5 on E-Bay, but perhaps should have been included in the box. It is a pleasure to simply take a good photo without a lot of fooling around with settings etc..

I am a photographer and love taking pictures. I was looking for a nice and small point and shoot to carry around to to take photos of my kids, rather than carring around my DSLR camera everywhere. Especially for her birthday party, I wanted something small just to get a bunch of bday photos of everyone. The photo quality is horrible. At first I wasn't sure if the display was just making them appear worse than the are, so I uploaded them to my computer and they were just very bad quality. I'm returning.

This Product delivers remarkable photos and the easy to read icons and even if I did not buy another camera this one has and is serving the purpose of the purchase I will and continue to Trust Nikon Products I got it at Radio Shack in St Louis and the Store Employee was informative about the product because she also owned one and made the purchase an easy choice.

Marketed as a tiny alternative to a smart phone camera, the Nikon Coolpix S02 is about the size of a medium-sized bar of soap. As the successor to the first-generation Nikon S01, the S02 has a higher-resolution sensor-a 13.2MP CMOS-as well as a slightly larger 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD monitor. The camera's intended users-mostly fashion-conscious snapshooters-should enjoy its simple operation, diminutive dimensions, and four color options (blue, pink, silver, and white), but more importantly, they should with the image quality.
Although it's small, the Nikon Coolpix S02 can also capture full 1080p HD video that will look great on your big home entertainment system screen.
Other user-friendly features include the 3x optical zoom lens, Scene Auto Selector (which automatically chooses the most appropriate shooting settings for any scene), hand-held scene mode for better lowlight shots, as well as creative modes such as Mirror, Sepia, High Contrast Monochrome, High Key and Low Key.
