Almost useless
This bag came with my P520. It has no provision for carrying; all you can do is put the camera in it and use the camera strap. But when you take the camera out to use it, what do you do with the bag?
It has two side pockets, which in theory could hold spare battery and memory cards - but they have no cover, and the probability of whatever you put in them falling out when you toss the bag somewhere so you can use the camera is high.
As far as I can see, this bag is only to be used to keep your camera dust-free on the shelf., or to carry it in a suitcase (hard-shell, since it provides no protection). Luckily, my P520 fit perfectly in my old bag, bought 10 years ago for my 3 MP Olympus; that padded bag has a detachable strap, a heavy web belt loop, and a zip-close pocket which is covered by the flap, for accessories. Why Nikon even bothered with a case like this is as much a mystery as why they think they can charge $40 for it.

A Dissappointing Camera Case
Not one of Nikon's best accessories. A well constructed camera case... but lacks desireable features, is too generic and too expensive. I returned this product and later found a far superior form-fitting case online for much less (from China) . The Nikon L100, L110 & L120 are very popular cameras worldwide and deserve a much better designed case that specifically fits this product.

It protects the camera. Period. But it is awkward to use when you put your camera in it and has no place to store extra memory cards. It is not worth $40 to buy a new one.

I'm dissapointed
I realized that there´s the only case from Nikon for Coolpix P80. I´m a Nikon lover so I could't buy other brand. The case seemed to be nice so I bought it. The case fits perfect for the camera but it's so soft and non practical to use it. It could be have suport for a belt use. If you are carring your camera on youn neck or shoulder (the case doesn't have any strap) and you have the perfect picture in front of you waiting to be taken you will probably lost your case. The closing system is a velcro strap and thats it. It works only as a protection when you're not using your camera but you can't carry your camera on it. Maybe It could be better with an extra space for an extra battery, a snap-on closing system, a support for carrying it on belt and a hermetic closing to avoid dust and water.

Would not purchase this camera case
Camera case too small for the Nikon camera purchased, need more compartments for storage.

Case is OK as basic protection
I had a lowepro 100 bag but it felt bulky on the belt and I wanted a smaller one.
The Nikon does the job but barely. It has some padding and fits the camera compared to the Loweproe which had to be stretched. It is 1/2- 2/3rds the bulk of the lowepro. There is no belt loop but a belt can be slipped between the top and the back of the case and it seems to work well as a belt loop carrier. The camera is so light that it should hold. The lowepro uses a velco strip to hold the lap belt shut so this should work using the velcro closer of the top. The side pockets and inside pocket will carry memory cards and extra batteries so as a case it has all the necessary goodies. But it is very plain and is easily worth about half what I paid for it. The lowepro was much cheaper.
Although Nikon has its name on it there is no other model or camera number markings on the case and it came in a plastic bag, not a box.
If you want a bigger better case, get the lowepro. If you want the smaller case, get the Nikon.

nice case, i guess
This case is a Nikon branded case so I was expecting a little more than what I actually got. There doesnt seem to be much padding to protect the camera. There is no strap or belt loop like the description claims. However, the camera fits it perfectly. There is one mesh pocket inside and a pocket on either side on the outside. I think most of the price of this is for the Nikon brand name printed in the liner.
