For almost 2 years I have been using D3200 with both lenses 18-55 and 55-200 is has remarkable color caption when natural light is available. while in low light you will not get the best results but still it is in the good range. for this price you get very good results

I was using fixed lens super zoom cameras but then needed to upgrade again due to my photography expanding more and chose this as my first DSLR with the 18-55mm kit lens that came with it. I have since purchased the 55-300mm lens for it and am really satisfied. Now I am looking at more equipment again since joining a local photography club now.

The D3200 is a very decent camera for those who are just getting into the DSLRs. It has almost everything that is necessary to take good photos, and its image quality is more than ample for most amateurs and semi-pros. I personally have taken over 10,000 pictures with my D3200 and I have not had many issues, however I have had a very minor bug that is intermittent, but it has had minimal impact and I simply believe that it is present only in my individual camera (only reason this is not a 5 star). It does not have all of the accessories of the newer and more expensive models, like a swivel touch screen, but it performs incredibly well without them and does what a camera is meant to do, and it does it well. The live view mode auto-focus is a bit slow, but that is expected in most DSLRs without dedicated video focus sensors. The lenses themselves are adequate for the casual user, but would recommend upgrading to better quality lenses if you wish to go further into the hobby. The 18-55mm lens gives reasonably good images, with some noticeable distortion on the extremes of the lens. The 55-200mm lens seems to have issues with blur caused by camera shake at moderate shutter speeds (due to lack of VR), and would recommend a tripod for this particular lens. This lens also has some distortion on its extremes, but not extremely noticeable to casual users. Both lenses are a bit lacking on contrast and saturation, but can be corrected with post-processing, and is not extremely noticeable to casual users, especially with the processing done with the jpeg software inside the camera. The handbag is excellent, with several storage sections for accessories and the manual; would recommend getting a larger bag if you plan on purchasing larger accessories.

I've been using Nikon SLR cameras since 1978 and added the D3200 2-1/2 years ago. It has great picture quality and easy to navigate settings. It has multiple focus settings that allow for nearly any situation. It can be used in fully automatic mode, manual mode and several modes that fall in between. It's ISO range is adequate for most any lighting. It is light and easy to handle. I often leave my larger Nikon cameras in the bag and carry this one because of its compact size and light weight. The DX format offers affordable, quality lens options for the amateur enthusiast. I added a D7200 a few months ago and interchange lenses back and forth. A nice thing when considering a camera that you may upgrade someday.

I received the D3200 18-55mm VR kit for my birthday last year, and this camera is perfect for those starting out in photography. The controls are very easy to use, the menu layout is very easy to navigate, it's compact and light enough to carry in a small shoulder bag with two lenses and a few accessories, and is very easy to set up and configure quickly for different photographic occasions. The only downside is that the D3200 can NOT autofocus with a standard AF Nikkor lens; it can autofocus ONLY with an AF-S Nikkor lens. It produces sharp, natural, vivid photographs every time I use it.

I bought it because I wanted to make a leap in digital cameras, pass my Nikon 1 J1 to the Nikon D3200 was a very good choice. A powerful camera to its range. Its dynamic range and color depth is optimal, together with its 24 megapixel camera has given me excellent results in my work as an advertising photographer.

I'm so glad I got this camera, it has really helped expand my knowledge of photography!! It took a while playing around with different the iso, shutter speed and aperture settings, but once I got that down i was able to create beautiful pictures. Purchased this kit as a request for a small camera with interchangeable lenses. The other option was going mirrorless and buy a different brand. After discussing the true weight of both systems, this is the best startup kit for future upgrading. One of the criteria was the flash system and having 30+ years experience with Nikon cameras and flash (I'm a big flash person), you can't get the accuracy in quick situations with any other brand camera/flash system. We used my SB910 for the flash pictures and I recommended the SB500 as a starter flash. Remember this is a compact entry level camera and does not have some of the menu options or features of more expensive cameras.

I bought the Nikon D3200, just getting into photography, and I had heard that the D3200 was great for beginners. They were right! This camera is easy to use whether you're experienced or just touching a DSLR for the first time and is even EASIER to use thanks to its integrated GUIDE mode. It is a very affordable DSLR and one of the bigger things that sold me about it, is that it has a mic input which I like because I often use it to shoot video.

I developed an interest in photography and received this camera and both lenses for my 15th birthday. It has fulfilled all of my expectations and does everything I need it to do. I mostly take outdoor shots -- flowers, trees, landscapes, etc. -- a lot of magnification, which it does wonders with. Images are sharp and clean and the color and background blur are phenomenal. It's easy to focus and achieve desired results.

I purchased this camera to step my game up. I own a Coolpix and like it but wanted more natural looking pictures. I must admit it is little more work but it pays off in the long run. The pics come out great and are more detailed. Makes for better prints. I am by no means a professional but this camera helps me along the way.

I love this camera I own 2 Nikon cameras and 5 lenses. The pictures are beautiful the only down fall of this camera is the battery. This is the second time I have had this issue. It frustrates me to no end, I was doing a graduation shoot ( battery was full) and dodo me left the battery inside the camera (it was not on) when I got to the next location about 50 minutes later it was dead. I was beyond mad that in just that short time it had drained. Not very happy at this particular moment in time. If a Nikon person reads this please tell me why it does that. Considering I have the D80 also and it has never done that. Thanks for taking time to read my long review

I've owned this camera for a week and it's incredible. Having been a professional commercial photographer for 25 years I naturally owned Nikon so I was drawn to this when I saw the deals that are available, The kit came with the 18 to 55 zoom and the 55 o 200 zoom. Both lenses perform amazingly. They focus quickly and the exposures have been dead on. It's been awhile since I've had anything but a Nikon Coolpics, which takes nice snaps but having the extra power and versatlity is a great feeling. I've already taken some really nice photos. Look for the deals and kits and go with it if you want a really great camera. Enjoy.

This was my first DLSR, I learned photography off of this camera. I was really happy with this camera or all. The one problem I came across was video. Not the best in low-light. A lot of noise in ISO 6400+ This was with the 18-55mm kit lens. This camera has done well for me. I recommend getting better glass if you stick with this camera.

I bought the Nikon d3200 18-55mm and 55-200mm bundle and wow am I impressed. The price was practically a steal. There are no doubts that this camera meets a beginners expectations. I brought my d3200 on a trip and got breath taking photos with the supplied lenses in the bundle. Overall this camera has exceeded my expectations with both photo and video quality and to add that its lighter than other DSLR cameras I have used. Perfect camera for the price if I do say so myself.

I bought the bundle with 2 lenses during Thanksgiving and love it. The pics speak for itself. I ended up only using the 18-55mm lens. My next purchase shall be 10mm wide angle lens and/or fish eye lens. (http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Nikon-Products/Camera-Lenses/Travel-and-Landscape/index.page).

The Nikon D3200 is a superb camera for beginners. It is at a price point at which most people can afford it. It provides exceptional image quality at lower ISO's even though it can be a little noisy at higher ISO's. Its 24 mp sensor provides very nice detail. I would recommend it to someone starting out it photography.

I originally purchased this camera for work and creative projects and it has consistently given me great quality work. I've been working in photography for three years now and compared to other cameras, the Nikon D3200 is a solid pick. The image quality is above average. In order to have spectacular images you must know intermediate photography techniques. If you are starting off, I recommend using this camera along with the CD that comes with it, a photography magazine or blog, and read the manual. The learning curve is casual to a little difficult for first time DSLR users because of the many options, which is why I say read a great photography book or blog will best help you. Because the sensor is not that of more expensive bodies, make sure to get up close and personal to subjects; however, because the body is smaller and lighter, one can capture unique perspectives and viewpoints. This helps with flexibility when using the kits lens or any additional purchased lens. Travel, street, portrait, and landscape are four different types of photography that can be achieved with the D3200 and the kit lens. The lens that comes with, I purchased mine with the 18-55mm VR lens, will require a little finesse to achieve desired results. I recommend using automatic until you get comfortable enough with it, then switch to manual mode. Also, don't be afraid of using different modes on the dial. It will help in the learning process of using the D3200 with the kit lens, while also strengthening the skills of a photographer. I have used this product (body with the kit lens) for paid projects in portrait and product photography with the results coming out wonderfully. To make things better, there are inexpensive, but quality items one can purchase such as diffusers and reflectors that will add quality to photos.

Bought this for a gift on Father's Day. It froze up that afternoon and was returned to the retailer the next day. They said it was a faulty memory card and replaced it. It continued to freeze up. It was returned to the retailer 5 times before they said to send it back to Nikon. Nikon simply cleaned it and sent it back, saying that there was no problem. Granted, it may not have frozen for them, but the repeat history is conclusive. It needed to be replaced on day #1 and was not and now is but an expensive paperweight for it freezes too often to be trusted.

I bought it 4 months ago and change the small camera and my old film SLR... Now I have excellent pictures was taken with this camera, it's very easy to use and allows being creative. With a tripod, remote control and these basic lenses it's enough to start in this beautiful world of photography. But if you want to make more professional pictures in movement it's better to think to buy lenses with VR and now I bought a new lens with VR and the pictures in action are perfect. Good camera and...
