I hesitated making the change from film to a digital SLR. I'm kind of a purist that way, but now that I bought this camera I wish I would have done it ages ago!! I LOVE this camera! It works almost exactly like my Nikon N60, so the transition was a breeze. Although I feel that what you capture on film really is more artistic, it sure is nice not to spend money on developing film, and it's REALLY nice to see what you shot right away. You do need to read the manual to get the full benefit, but that's easy.

This camera with both lenses, were the best buy I could have made. I made a fun trip to Europe and it worked perfectly for architecture details with the 200 mm zoom. For everything else the other worked fine for any situation that presented, as it was when several aquatic birds were flying around, the speed of the shooter was amazingly fast so any bird went without its perfect picture. About the buttons and features, all worked excellent, from the totally automatic to some more artistic pictures.

spectacular camera, easy to use -18-55mm lens is very sharp. Better results than my D70 which I paid almost $1000 for a few years ago. You can't go wrong with this camera. Very light and easy to handle. I would be very careful handling this camera and try not to bang it up. I'm sure it is not real tough compared to the over $1500 cameras. Great in low light and very nice on camera flash.

I have been shooting with my Nikon Coolpix 5700 which is an excellent camera producing excellent pictures. I thought I would like to try to shoot with DSLR. I am perfectly satisfied with this camera even though it has only 6.1 megapixels. I couldn't be more satisfied using this camera. Also, I like the SD card it uses. It's compact.
