The autofocus is slow at less than ideal lighting. It does what it should for less than $600 but if you are buying it for snapshots inside you will have to become pretty familar with the settings. Image quality is good to very good if you have time for the autofucus to work. The camera is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for" at this price. It's a good camera for the price.

Outstanding Camera
This camera has lasted me two great seasons. It is more than I want. Now I am looking at the new totally awesome D300. I am just wanting that higher ISO. The D80 is an outstanding camera. It comes with about 85% of what the D200 has. The main things I love are the 3fps, commander flash mode, 10.2 mp, large LCD, etc.... I could go on and on. Very nice camera.
