I already have the CV 28mm finder, which is excellent. In comparing the two, both show plenty of barrel distortion, then put straight finder lines on top. That makes framing more of a guess than it already is with a viewfinder. The Nikon finder is a bit lighter than the CV finder, which is quite dense. The eyepiece has a bigger diameter, so a little more light seems to come through the Nikon finder than the Voigtlander one. In all, you can't go wrong with either finder. I just wish that there wasn't so much barrel distortion.

Probably not an item every Coolpix A owner will want, due to the price, though the quality is very high. No perceptible distortion when viewing through this. The framelines illuminate nicely in good light. Like the Nikon viewfinders from the old rangefinder series decades ago, this is solidly made of glass and metal. Comparable in quality to items from well known German competitors. This comes in handy in bright sunlight conditions, or when you want to brace the Coolpix A against your forehead or nose.
