Excellent Batteries

By

from State College, PA  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

I bought four of these for a camping trip in the Olympic national park in Washington, and they are excellent batteries! These last about 20% longer than the EN-EL14 batteries, and they also stay cooler under stress. I love them and highly recommend them. They're worth the extra cash.

Excellent batteries that last long!

By

from State College, PA  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

I love these batteries, they last much longer than the EN-EL14. These batteries are a direct replacement for the EN-EL14 and they handle stress much better. When taking pictures at a normal pace, these will give you around 200 more pictures, depending on your camera, and while recording video you'll get around an extra hour.

Great to have

By

from Farmington, CT

For whatever reason, the battery in my D5300 dies ever so often, even when the camera's been "off". Having an extra battery can be a life saver. It was already within 24 hours of receiving this ENEL-14a.

Works on the brand new Nikon Df

By

from Eastern Shore, MD

Not much is exciting about a battery so long as it charges up and powers your equipment. This battery works flawlessly with the brand new Nikon Df camera.

Nikon Battery for Nikon Df

By

from San Marcos, CA

Over priced due to having the Nikon name but I have never had problems with their batteries… They last longer, work with their design, function and use within the Nikon family. So, I pay more for no hassles!

I use this battery all the time and it holds a charge very well. I can't think of a thing I don't like about it.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Will this battery be o.k. for my Nikon D5200 as it is not listed on the list??
BRETT H  On the Nikon USA Web Page for this, Nikon says it will work in the D5200 (but I think it may take a firmware upgrade to the camera as the battery voltage is slightly different - I bought for a Df, but will also use in a D3100 after a firmware upgrade.)
RICH F  I HAVE A D5300, CAN I USE A EN-EL14 BATTERY IN IE OR DO ONLY USE A EN-EL14A?
Rollin S  The two batteries are different in spite of the closeness of their titles. The 14a is a bit more expensive($10), but if that is what is specified then that a is what you must use.
Robert R  I want to use the newer EN-EL14a with my Nikon D5100. I understand I must update the firmware to to that -- BUT in doing so, will I still be able to use my older EN-EL14 ?
Andrew R  I don't believe that the firmware upgrade would create an issue with the older batteries, though Nikon is not specific.
