Very good battery
This battery is the same as the one that came with the camera and it's a good battery. It last a long time. I'm mainly contracted to shoot sports and they last a few hours but I just did a wedding and this battery lasted almost six hours before it needed to be charged.

Extra is always a plus
Besides this extra battery, I also bought a Nikon BL-6 Battery Chamber Cover, so having it attached to an extra EN-EL18a is a plus for me.

this battery can go all day long (and all night long, too)
I'd shot more than 2,000 frames and this battery was at 50% power. I could literally do a day long shoot with battery power to spare. I'm going to get a couple more of these bad boys so that I can leave the charger at home on a road trip. I'll probably still take the charger, but it won't likely get used.

Nothing beats a genuine Nikon battery
I've tried various 3rd party batteries and they've all had issues. It's just not worth the aggravation to save a few bucks. I've never had an issue with a genuine Nikon battery.

Out lasts the aftermarket
While more expensive they are worth it. Not only do these batteries last longer in camera the number of recharge cycles is extra ordinary.

Great Upgrade from EN-EL18 Battery
I just upgraded ny camera from a Nikon D4 to a Nikon D5. The battery upgrade from EN-EL18 to EN-EL18a along with apparent increased efficiency of the camera is a major improvement over my D4. This is especially appreciated since I like to review histograms after each image and use Live View for some landscape photography and for video. I also use a WT-FA wireless network connection for certain applications, which consumes a lot of battery power. I suspect that the EN-EL18a would also improve performance of the D4. Since the MH-26 battery charge that came with the D4 can charge EN-ELa batteries, D4 users might want to upgrade their battery.

I have only had the camera for 6 weeks but so far the battery performs flawlessly
I ordered this battery for my Nikon D5. I have only had the camera for 6 weeks but so far the battery performs flawlessly. I get over 3500 images on the battery.
My only complaint is that Nikon has not produced any additional chargers for these batteries and the only ones that appear to be in the pipeline include additional items that are not necessary. Also the price for the kit is ludicrous

Year old battery
Bought this product... Suspect it was used box looked like it had been opened several times already. Battery was manufactured Jan 2015.... I ordered Jan 2016... Already one year old... Charged and placed in camera reads 0 on 0 to 4 scale... So all seems fine.

Plenty of power for the money!
I use this in my D4s and it's amazing how fast that camera shoots fps! Whenever I'm tracking a flying bird and go to HS shooting this battery supplies more than enough "juice" so that I reach the 11 fps and 100 RAW shots I've setup in the camera menu.
I'd buy this again and highly recommend it!
I've tried 'discount' batteries before, never again. I had to wait almost 2 months for a spare to become available but I won't waste money on discount accessories, especially since I spent $6400 for the camera body!

When out of power you need a back up then I reach my Nikon EN-EL18a Battery never missing a shoot
