I bought this to use with my Nikon P1100 which was in the same order.  I bought this instead of the generic version to avoid issues with my new camera.

However, having said that in the future I'll be getting the generic version.  They are much cheaper and function the same way.

Good but pricey

The battery was fine, but the camera was never put in the box. It was then unavailable.
I never got the camera, so I didn't need the battery.

I bought an external charger that came with two off-brand batteries.  The OEM Nikon batteries last about twice as long.  The P950 eats batteries since it is being constantly zoomed to 83X, so long battery life is important.

Lasts a long time.

Wasn't sure if the batteries would fit, even tho they were advertised to.  They do fit and they do work and received in a timely manner.

Does it?s job

I recently purchase the Nikon Coolpix 950 - one battery came with the camera - I was disappointed that Nikon no longer  offered batteries.  Found a second backup battery from Adorama.  Off brand batteries were available but I wanted a true Nikon battery.  Fast shipment.

The camera Nikon Coolpix 950 is awesome but these batteries are pricey and only stay charged for about 4 hours of heavy use.

Does not hold a charge. Every time I go to use my camera, it is discharged. Tried plugging camera in when not using it, and still does not work.  This is not even one year old. Camera is useless without the battery.

It is identical to the battery that came with the camera.

Nikon P1000 battery

Always great service with Adorama. This battery was exactly what I needed after mistake of getting an off-brand from another vendor. Can never go wrong with Adorama.

Best for brand name camera batteries

Bought this to add to my new Nikon P1000 camera as a backup battery. While there are many offerings around for non-Nikon imitations, I feel secure knowing that using only Nikon approved equipment in my camara will keep my warranty valid.

Best Option All Around

This battery is a genuine Nikon battery designed and manufactured for the Nikon 1 V3.  They are getting hard to come by since Nikon discontinued the camera.  Replacement batteries from third party manufacturers probably work fine, but they're reverse engineered and not recommended by Nikon.

The battery works as advertised,simple story. The real winner here is Adorama. At the time I was looking for the Nikon brand EN-El20a for my  Nikon 1 V3 Camera Adorama was the only one that had it in stock. They also packed and shipped it real fast. I guess I was a winner too. Thanks Adorama!

this is a good battery but would be better if it lasted longer as a number of other Nikon batteries do.
