Wow, I cannot believe that no one has written a review for this item. Anyway, I use several of these for my D300s and my D700. I DID make certain to PROPERLY CONDITION them to obtain maximum output/life. Properly conditioning means that you charge them, and then completely discharge and recharge them again, doing this for several cycles. This creates an internal chemical condition whereby the batteries will be able to provide their MAXIMUM output and life. FAILURE to condition Li-ion (or NiCAD) batteries will result in shorter hour-to-hour capacity and inability to obtain maximum current conditions. Therefore, for all users, pay heed to BATTERY CONDITIONING as it is important. There are many postings at Nikon complaining of poor battery life and failure to condition them is what the problem really is, and is unlikey (or rarely) due to to a defective battery or camera. And as is also stated elsewhere, constant usage of LIVE VIEW mode and the built-in internal flash will create a large battery drain, to be expected. Nikon's batteries are good items and are properly matched to camera models. Also it is recommended to always have a spare battery. For the minimal cost it is a good and sometimes wise benefit.

I use 2 EN-EL3's in my MB-D100 plus have a load of back up AA batteries for back up when I go out on long shoots. I am simply amazed how long the EN-EL3's do hold up and how long they last on my D100.

I use two of these batteries on my D-100 via the MB-D100 battery holder. They will go forever on shoots

I get lots of photos using this long-lasting battery. It recharges quickly, too.

One of the best features of the Nikon D70 camera series is this awesome little battery...it lasts all day! Compared to other cameras who eat batteries (both one-time use and rechargeable) for lunch, these little batteries rock -- on and on and on.
