I bought this to replace a very similar product. The other grip was almost identical to this one except it was more cheaply constructed, in fact it broke. This one however feels sturdier and of better build quality. I absolutely love the fact that two batteries came with it as a bonus. Of course time will tell how well it performs and how long it lasts, but so far i am enjoying it a great deal

Purchased this for a new D90 body I recently acquired. Works perfectly and the fit and finish is equal to the genuine Nikon grips I had previously purchased for my D100 and D200 cameras. The D90 is a smaller body so I really like using the Flashpoint Battery grip with bigger lenses such as the 80-200 F2.8 as the combined unit seems better balanced. I am accustomed to using the vertical controls from my other cameras and really like the convenience of having two batteries. Others have complained about the batteries included in the kit but after using for a month I seem to get similar use as with OEM Nikon batteries. Highly recommend -at this price you can't go wrong.

i am not a professional photographer, i am a hobbyist. as an add-on after market product for the d90, i was impressed. the box states 6 AA or 2 lithium batteries, i thought i try it with 1 lithium battery and it worked. nice weight and feel. this add-on does also add a bit of bulk to the camera. of which, i am not a fan of. over all, i am glad i have the option of using batteries or lithium. i like it...

I just purchased the Nikon D800 and are use to having battery backups in my previous D90. The Nikon original is extremely expensive and this one definitely does the work, and you just can't beat the price.

I have had the camera stop shooting when the temp. get below 40 degrees , so added the grip with 2 batteries, and used it last sat. and the camera seemed to work 75 % better !I bought 2 so all I have to do is switch the grips for the Main event coverage !

Love having the vertical trigger.

I use this for portraits and head shots on my backup camera. I really like the extended battery life. The size of the grip does change the dynamics of a small frame camera like the D90, so if you are used to this size body without a grip, it will take some getting used to.

Great vertical grip. Easy to install fits perfect to the camera. Works and feels as if its a part of the camera body and not an add on.

Great product. It stays on my camera now. Just makes it feel better to hold. Easy to install and problem free. I read a lot about this type of grip having problems with the contacts making contact with the camera contacts, and I have had no such problems.

I needed a grip and this one seems to fit the bill. It does not quite have the fit and finish of the real Nikon brand..but for the price...it is a winner. My only compliant is the locking ring on the battery compartment..seems a little flaky..you have to really hold in the door and turn the locking ring just so to get the door to latch.

It works. It is build very well. I have had it for over a year and have only had one small problem. Once in a while (not often) it will not turn on. However, it is solved by turing it off and then back on. I do not see any need to spend the extra money and get the Nikon version.

Gives you that added grip and feel of a professional camera. Plus, adding an additional battery gives you that longer staying power and shooting abilities.

Very nice product. It fits the camera well and looks good. The color match is perfect. I'm still learning to use the grip for portraits but so far it's very comfortable. The batteries are still in from the initial charge so still not sure of the longevity of a charge.

Was not going to invest a ton of money in a grip. I shoot sports for my kids and consider myself a heavy user. Adorama had a great price on this grip with the batteries. Despite the nit pick I have about the build quality, it has worked perfectly on my D90. Once in awhile it works just a little bit loose, but am not sure that wouldn't happen on the original Nikon grip. I would recommend this product with no hesitation. Would give a 5 star rating if built just a little better.

I bought this the day after a car show that I went to after forgetting to charge my battery. This grip is solid and fits perfectly. Controls work well and it would be worthwhile even if you had to buy the batteries seperately. The batteries do seem to lose charge faster than a real Nikon one, but you'll still get hours of firing away. Plus since I now have 3 batteries (two from this and the original) I just pop in the lowest one on the charger at the end of the day. (Nikon software is smart enough to monitor individual battery's life)

Nice feel. No longer need to monitor battery status when using my camera for an extended period. The dual batteries "seem" lose their charge a little faster than the battery which was supplied with my camera. This doesn't bother me too much since i try and recharge before going out or after an extended break. Unit feels comfortable and is easy to operate. Did not have any problems mounting to camera body. I have recommended to unit to friends. Cannot beat price.

Product used mounted to D-90 for the about 6 months. Have been very happy with feel, construction, and performance. Batteries "seem" lose charge quicker than I expected. Battery level meter showing percent of charge remaining goes down much quicker than I remember when comparing the performance with battery provided with the camera. This battery pack with the two batteries provides enough juice to support a day or two out in the field.

After reading the reviews, I decided to get this product which was cheaper than the Nikon version. I am very happy with the product. It has all the same functionality that the Nikon version has with a cheaper price tag.

This allows for more heft which adds support when shooting. Give a extra battery immediately available. You get to choose which battry to use first.

I like the price. Fits perfect. Looks like it's part of the camera. I have D90. I have taken the unit on / off numerous times. Fits snug. Great value.

Get this grip, very good for its purpose plus free batteries for a very affordable price. My friend feels sorry for himself that he bought Nikon. I love Nikon but for this im just being wise so take it and you will be happy with the results.

The old adage, you get what you pay for comes to mind. Good product, just not what I was expecting. Reviews made it sound as good as the Nikon product. I disagree. If your looking for additional battery time this product will work.

Well fitting battery grip for my Nikon D90. Easy to hold, and not bulky at all. One con: does not hold a charge as long as the original battery, but I would expect this to be normal. Can still take quite a few pictures before recharge.

Must have accessory. Adds balance to the camera, esp for portrait shots. My only complaint: when the first battery discharges, you must remove it to use the unit.

I absolutely love it! I've had it for about 6 months now and I don't have any complaints. I take a lot of vertical shots so this really came in handy with the extra shutter button. It also makes my camera look nicer and more professional (I use the D90). I don't understand what the difference is between this one and the Nikon version which is double or triple the price. It's definitely worth it and I recommend it to all the photographers I know.

Good product. Helps balance weight, especially for heavier lenses and when shooting portrait (vertical) shots. My main lens is a heavy f2.8 and I immediately noticed a difference in the camera's stability. For the price, it's well worth buying
