Fantastic

I have tried the microphone on a D7000 and absolutely love it for HDR movies. I am just waiting for my own to arrive in the mail this week. A must have.

Why is this mic listed as an accessory for the V1?

This mic is incorrectly showing up as an accessory for the new V1. It is a mic which mounts in a standard sized hotshoe. But since the V1 has a proprietary accessory shoe standard shoe mounted accessories will not fit.

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!

THERE IS A WHITE NOISE THAT IS CONTINUOUS. THE NIKON 5200 INTERNAL MICROPHONE IS BETTER THAN THIS. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. AND AFTER I TOLD THEM ABOUT IT... SAID THAT IS JUST HOW IT IS.

Awesome addon for Nikon DSLRs

from San Jose

The on-board microphone on the Nikon D7100 isn't bad, but I wanted something better to record the voice.

Bought ME-1 for use with Canon VIXIA R500 camcorder. Didn't work, no audio, had to return it. Bought a RODE stereo pro (which has 9v battery) it worked perfectly.

Not worth it

By

from Bowling Green KY  -  Pro Photographer

I should have saved my money. I expected big things but got only about a 10% imrovement over the quality of the audio versus the onboard mic.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Carl D  will it work on a d3100?
JERRY W  Per the Nikon web site, no it will not. The D3100 does not have the correct connection for an external mic. Otherwise, it is an awesome mic'.
Minh N  Will this microphone work on the Nikon Camera Digital d610 ?//
EDWARD R  Yes, it will work; and is much better than the builtin microphone.
Shopper  Can it work with the Canon Rebel T3? Because I know the camera doesnt have many inputs.
WILLIAM F  While I don't know the specific specs for the T3, as long as it has something called a mic input I would assume it is an industry standard input such as the Nikon ME-1. It has been a good mic for my purposes, on a Nikon d5100. Best wishes, Bill
