Sexy

Sexy rectangular hood. takes 46mm filters. The hood itslef is metal anf the adapter ring is plastic. Both made in China. Would have liked for it to be made in Japan to mach the viewfinder and camera. Still great quality though.

Nice and easy does it

Great and speedy service from Adorama! This accessory for the Nikon Coolpix A camera is as pictured and made of solid aluminum/metal. Be careful and use kid gloves in the instillation of it when attaching it to the camera's threads- aluminum is a "soft" metal and you could strip the threads if you put too much pressure or forced it on. The same goes with the 46 mm filters into the adaptor. Nice and easy does it- just line it up in the groves and everything glides on effortlessly with every turn.

The Nikon UR-E24 Filter Adapter and HN-CP18 Lens Hood Set (Black) is compatible with their Coolpix A DX-format point-and-shoot camera. The adapter provides 46mm threads for attaching optional filters. The hood shields the front element of the lens from glare and excess light and also prevents it from hitting your subject if you get too close. Both items can be clipped together as one piece while attached to the camera; the hood can easily be removed to allow for filter mounting and then snapped back into place on top of the filter.
