Good lens, excellent value

I've been using the lens for six weeks, got it as part of a kit with the e-510. I love its sharpness, in particular when using it at full tele for close up shots of plants/flowers. It won't take the place of a macro lens, but it's quite nice at getting close, and the defocusing is very gradual and smooth. It's light and small. The focus-by-wire works well, and the oly feature that allows simultaneous use of manual and auto focus is great. I know it's not as good or fast as more expensive lens

Terrible Lens, Great Serevice

[...]. The lens itself was awful--would not consistently provide infinity focus. Useless for intended purpose (air show photos). I returned it, and was provided a full refund. I am happy to recommend Adorama but cannot recommend this lens.

Oly lenses have an excellent reputation---part of my decision to purchase the Olympus e 620. Only question is durability of plastic lens mount.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Rae Lynne B  hi, i have a canon eos, would this lens fit?
DANIEL S  No. Olympus uses a 4:3 lens mount that is peculiar to their cameras. I believe there are adapters available but it might be better to just get a lens for your specific brand and model.
Shopper  is this lens compatible with an olympus e-P1?
CHRISTIAN H  Yes with the olympus adapter. But focusing is not as fast as you would expect it.
Shopper  is this lens compatible with the olympus e-450 camera?
DAVID B  This lens is compatible with all 4/3 mount cameras, which include all Olympus DSLRs. This is NOT compatible with the micro 4/3 mount unless you purchase an adapter. I'm using this lens on both an E-3 and E-450.
