Excellent accessory

Some claim you have to use manual focus with this, but I've found it autofocuses well in bright sunlight and the 40-150 kit lens (old one)

Did not work for me!

The extension tube did not work for me with the lenses I had. I had called olympus and they said it woud - but after getting it and only getting really blurry shots called again and they said not sure who told you but... so it was a bust for me. My advice really check and see if it will work for you and what you have. Adorama was great though - returned no problem!

Works well with pen cameras

You need this for Macro photography. This enables you to get really close. And to really do it correctly, you need a good tripod or support and maybe a focus rail for better control.

does the job well

Well made. Works great with 50mm f2 to get 1:1 ratio, and also great with the 50-200mm f2-3.5 to get 2:1 ratio (when at 200mm). Very useful addition for macro enthusiasts.

Questions about this item:

Jan v  I have an Olympus E500 with a 40-150mm f3.5-34.5 lens; 58mm diameter. Can I use the extension tube EX-25 on that?
JOSEPH R  Yes. The extension tube fits between the camera and the lens. Olympus has a compatibility chart at... http://www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/compati/di004042e.cfm#etcl If you can afford it, the ZD 50mm macro is a fine lens.
Jan v  Joseph Thanks very much for the information. This is very helpful. One more question: if I buy the Olympus OM-D E-M5, can I use my existing lenses: ZD 14-42 3.5-5.6 and ZD 40-150 3.5-4.5? Thanks, Jan

Shopper  Will the extension tube work with the 14 to 42mm lens that comes with an E-450 for macro photography, or do I need a lens specifically for macro?
KELLY H  I have both the EX-25 extension tube and 50mm macro Olympus Lenses. I have not tried it on the 14 to 42mm kit lens. You may need to contact Olympus directly to get that question answered.
