When it comes to camera accessories there are some things you can get by with and not pay the brand name price. But when I'm buying actual camera components such as lenses, and or this shutter release button, OEM factory is the only way to go. I researched this out and ensured it worked on my OM-D E10 II, which it did and I bought it...works like a charm no issues....I would recommend it.

I tried the Olympus RM-UC1 with a few of the cameras on the compatibility list and it worked with them. The lock switch is very handy when the camera's drive mode is set to a sequential shooting mode. I also tried the RM-UC1 with the following cameras that aren't on the compatibility list and it worked with these also: Olympus SZ-12 Olympus SP-720 Olympus SP-810 Olympus SP-820

Nicely constructed cable release. It is you basic release with lock. Wish the trigger and lock is upside down since it's a much natural way to hold it with the cord in front rather than from behind.

Works as intended for my Macro and Night photography. Nice additional accessory. Wish the length of cable to be little longer.

I use this for night photography. The length is long enough and helps to reduce camera shakes. It's a good accessory to have in your bag.

I use this with macro photography. I've noticed it operates as intended and reduces camera shake at exposure. It's pricey with functional alternatives at less cost available. I'm leery of using third party electronics with my equipment so it is worth it to be worry free while using it. I also would like a slightly longer cable.

I would highly recommend this product. It is a necessity for tripod or other support shots. It is nicely designed focusing and exposing can be done without touching the camera. Time exposures using "bulb" setting also.

I've been busy shooting volleyball for a newspaper, and haven't had time to fully try this remote out, but I have taken some causal shots with it, and it appears to meet my needs. It operates smoothly and predictability, that is, I have been able to press the shutter half-way without inadvertently firing the shutter consistently. I'm think the cord might prove to be a little too short for some situations, but I can compensate for that. I would recommend the product to others.

Like all OEM products, it is expensive BUT it is dependable and will last a long time based on my previous experience with this product. Gave it 4 stars rather than five becuase of it's cost. otherwise it is a 5 star product.

I find the feel of the pushbutton to be mushy. It is difficult to feel where the first stage ends and the second begins. It is therefore easy to accidently take pictures.

Works great, uses the USB port so its best to us the provided velcro strap to secure it to the tripod or camera.

Plugs into the usb connection, has a good length of cable, would be nice if could get a remote that was wireless, but this is great to stop any shake while in macro.

Use anytime to eliminate camera vibration when shooting landscapes, macro, portraits and even HDR images — especially using a tripod to remove camera shakes during long exposures or capturing multiple images. Feels very solid in your hand, a natural fit. I keep mine in my camera bag for whenever and whatever shots I want...

I have been using the camera's timer and a tripod to prevent the camera from moving when taking closeup and bracketed shots for HDRI. Even using a tripod the camera can move slightly when the shutter button is pressed. Using the cable release takes care of the problem.

. . .I'd expect a better executed product. You do the 1/2 push, just like a regular shutter release, to focus and set exposure. But trying to hold the 1/2 push while recomposing the shot can be difficult in shooting situations like macro shots close to the ground. These situations (and others you can imagine) are the reason you're buying this item. And what happens is, you end up either pressing or releasing the 1/2 press before you intend to, and have to start all over. Since this is all software driven, they could have done something like: one press to focus and meter, a second press to take the shot. So, is it useful, yes. Is it adequate, yes. Is it great, no.

The remote cable release RM-UC1 for the SP-510 UZ SP-550 UZ E-410 E-510 allows the user to take pictures over long exposures without shaking the camera. Additionally, it offers the possibility of locking the release button for bulb exposure. The RM-UC1 connects to the camera's USB connector.
