Terrible. Avoid.

from Auckland, New Zealand  -  Graphics Professional

I bought this scanner after much investigation and was looking forward to the promised specs. On the first film I scanned the scanner left very extreme and obvious scan lines across every neg. I contacted their customer service dept who had me run a diagnostic that confirmed that it was faulty (and apparently a common fault). They were going to charge me nearly twice the value of the scanner to ship it back to base for repairs and when I complained and asked for more repair options they stopped responding to emails. Steer clear of this product.

Questions about this item:

Chris C  Did anybody have any issues with this machine? Did it live up to expectations by correcting faded colors or dust and/or scratches on the slides? Did you experience any problems with slides jamming in the batch scanning?
Shopper  What is included in software bundle? Silverfast?
TIM S  SilverFast 8 SE Plus was included on a stand-alone disc.
E F  Does this scanner allow for batch scans of slides and if so, is a holder provided for the slides?
Al P  No, it does not allow for batch scans of slides. There is no holder, you insert them one by one. It will automatically advance and scan film, one image at a time if the software allows it. Been using mine for a couple of weeks and love it.
