It Works. It's an AC power supply!!!
Use for times when battery power is insufficient -- movies, etc. While not a "must", use it for firmware updates. Whether for camera or computer, F/W updates cannot be interrupted by a power failure. This supply will keep the power on until the update is complete. (A UPS [maybe overkill] will also add a layer of protection during the process.)
You do need to pay attention to the little rubber gizmo that covers the slot in the battery compartment. The sliding door should close easily. If it doesn't, don't force it -- check to make sure the protruding cable is positioned properly.
