This product almost looks brand new. I will keep it attached to my camera at all times.

This was the 1st used product I have bought from Adorama. Seriously concerned about purchasing something online just from the description. But this was exactly as described. This will be beneficial by doubling the battery time with the extra battery. It feels great while holding for landscape, but a liitle awkward (for now) portrait.

Form, fit and function are great. It fits well to the bottom of the camers body, and is very stable. It installs into the tripod mounting hole, which is replicated in the bottom of the grip. The controls are right where you would expect them to be, replicating the normal controls on the camera with the camera rotated to the portrait position. The grip has storage for a second battery, which is usable by the camera, a spare memory card, which is not accessable to the camera, and for a Pentax branded IR remote shutter release. The after-market IR release is larger than the allotted space. With the second battery installed, the battery grip adds 10 oz (280 grams) to the weight of the camera, making it heavy to carry for casual use, but will offset the weight of longer, heavier lenses to make the camera more stable. All in all, this is a product that I wish I had purchased with my camera body, instead of waiting. The extra battery should allow nearly 1000 shots without having to recharge a battery. I would recommend a grip/battery extender to anyone who uses their camera for other than casual use.

This grip is very useful especially when hand holding the camera with a long telephoto attached. The grip also stores an extra battery and memory card. The best feature is the extra shutter release that makes picture taking a breeze when holding the camera in a vertical position. I wouldn't be without this accessory.

It adds improvment to how the camera feels in my hands. I have two Pentax K10D's and both of them have this grip attached. I just leave them attached all the time, would not dream of leaving home without them.

At first, I didn't think the grip was all that necessary since I carry a spare battery. But after reading lots of reviews, I decided to buy it. Great decision! Not only does it offer extended battery time, but it adds much to the overall feel and handling of the camera. Yes, it adds a little weight but the extra heft helps stabilize even more. And the remote storage and extra SD card storage is really handy. The construction is definitely Pentax quality. Having to remove the grip to get at the in-body battery is no big deal at all. I keep it on my K20D all the time.

This grip fits as it should on my K20D. Looks nice on the camera, and seems well made. It offers two adjustments wheels. It allows you to do vertical shots with ease, and also has an exposure button, and the "green" button available to set camera back to defaults. I think it balances the camera well, though it does add weight which may be a problem if carried all day, but not a biggie. It accepts an extra battery to double shooting life, and has a space for the "F" remote control, and a space for an extra SD-SDHC card. It has no magic to it, but I think it is a worthwhile addition. Only minor drawback is it has to come off to change the cameras battery, but you can set the camera to use the grip battery-the camera battery- or AUTO, so the camera decides where to draw power from.

The DBG2 is the perfect accessory to complete my K10D! Brings great balance to the camera, is a MUST for vertical shots because all of the controls are duplicated right at your fingertips! Combine that with the wireless remote, extra SD card storage and even WEATHERPROOFING and the camera is complete with this accessory! I never shoot without it!

The grip is almost a necessity for any K10 or K20 owner. The ability to run off of a second battery is huge and it provides the perfect counterbalance to any telephoto lens you might use.

The grip makes it much easier to rotate the camera for vertical framed shots. It doubles battery capacity, and I particularly like the internal storage for extra memory and the camera's remote control. There is also a place to store the rubber plug cover from the camera. It makes all the controls you normally use in a horizontal format available when shooting vertical. Only downside is it does make your camera big and bulky.

I received this grip as a Christmas gift and enjoyed it's use very quickly. The vertical grip and acces to buttons is very good and I found myself missing the grip when it's not on the camera. The only cons is when you reviewing pictures on the camera, you hand palm tends to push lightly the shutter button, switching off the camera screen. It's a bit strange at the beginning since you do not realize exactly what's happneing... It's a minnor problem once you know it but looks like a bug at the beginning. This grip makes the K20d look great also. You should buy the small Pentax remote control as there is a special place for it in the grip (good idea)

I read a magazine article that said it was great, it's part of the reason I bought my K-10, now I bought another with my K-20. If it ever broke I wouldn't want to do without it, I keep my I.R. remote and a spare S.D. card inside it, rely heavily on it's conrols and use the battery in it first so I seldom need to change the in camera battery, it's great to still have power when you change the grip's battery (at your conveniance).

I have a Pentax K20D and the extra battery grip is worth its weight in gold! During long soccer games or all day at the zoo, you will need extra power. It also makes shooting in portrait much more comfortable. It is very solid and well made. It takes a couple tries to line it up properly when first connecting, but I got the hang of it pretty quick. I only gave it 4 stars because nothing is perfect, but this pretty close. You can keep an extra memory card and your wireless remote in the grip! How sweet is that?

This is a great addition to my K10D camera. The extra shooting time alows me to stay and take more pictures of my Grand daughter. This alone makes it worth it.

Being so acustomed to shooting pro Nikon gear, F4s & f5's, the smaller digital cameras get lost even in my rather smallish hands. By attaching the D-BG2 to the Pentax K10d you will find improved balance, twice the battery capacity, storage for a remote and a spare SD card. The ergonomics are very pleasing poviding plenty of contours for fingers to wrap comfortably. The dials front and rear are easy to utilize including and DOF shifter. The only small gripe I have is that the 'Green Button' is recessed more on the grip than it is on the camera. I hardly us this anyway but still.... Overall I wouldn't want to shoot without it in place. The overall balance of the camera is enhanced with it in place.

With the extra shutter release and controls it provides, it's part of the reason I bought a Pentax K-10-D, and when I get my Pentax K-20-D I'm getting another as well as 2 more spare batteries. It makes it much quicker and easier to change batteries, holds a spare SD card, and the camera's remote.

The Pentax D-BG2 Battery Grip is very user friendly and adds to my K10D camera. Being able to carry an extra battery, remote shutter switch and SD memory card allows me to shoot without worrying about low battery, running out of memory, or loosing the remote. Looks nice and feels great. The added shutter release button make shooting at different angles easier. Overall a great addition to the camera package.

The grip works very nice. Even better you can store the remote and a SD card in the grip. I wish they had mentioned that there was no battery in the box though.

I use this when I use a sigma 50-500mm and Pentax 250-600mm. For better balance it works well, but otherwise, I prefer not to use it. I have two battery grips and two K10's. So far only one battery grip is even out of the box. Fortunately they don't cost much.

D-BG2 battery grip for exclusive use with the PENTAX K10D & K20D. This battery grip can be used in combination with the camera's rechargeable lithium-ion batteries to double the camera's battery life.
With a vertical shutter-release button, preview lever, two control dials, AE-lock button and green button, the battery grip makes vertical-position shooting simple and effortless. It also features the same dust-proof, weather-resistant construction as the camera bodies.
