Just What I Need
This Pentax Extended Warranty is just what I needed for my new Pentax K-1 DSLR. I have bought this type warranty for several of the Pentax DSLR cameras that i have purchased in the past.

Pre-paid cleaning if nothing else
Don't ususally pay for extended warranties, but this is worthwhile for a new camera

Without buying warranty would have had a useless camera in three years
Purchased previously for my Pentax K-30. Without buying warranty would have had a useless camera in three years for apperature control block issue. Instead,for $40 ($20 for warranty, $20 for shipment and processing fee when sending in camera for warranty repair,) I get my camera back rather than spend $100's for a new camera. Bought this warranty again for my new K-50 which can also have this same issue.

2 extra years
I hope I don't have to use it at all!
Peace of mind knowing my camera it's covered for three years.

The packaging is beautiful, semi-gloss heavy weight paper.
The packaging is beautiful, semi-gloss heavy weight paper. A memento I will treasure for years (about two years to be exact).
Honestly, its a waranty. I've purchased in the past for other Pentax equiptment. It does what you'd expect. Pentax repair centers honor them without question. Just be sure to keep the necessary paperwork when you need to make a claim.
Beyond that, you're left at the hands of the service company and to Pentax to determine if your claim is warrantable.
i.e. Water damage from rain to your weather resistant camera is not covered by warranty, even if weather seals were faulty due to prior repair.

Esential add on
The Pentax two year add-on warranty makes sense, even more so at this low price. Fortunately my previous cameras have been great so I have only taken advantage of the free checkup and cleaning feature, but it is good to have it and not have to worry about expensive repairs should anything come up.

No brainer when you invest hundreds
For the price, this is a no brainer. Getting two additional years of warranty (3 total) on my investment of almost $900 was a logical thing to do. This also comew with a free inspection.
The only con is that you need to keep the warranty card. I wish there was a way to register your product and extended warranty online.

Best Value Warranty for your Pentax
I am a proud Pentax owner for many years and for all of my cameras I have purchased the extended warranty from Pentax. It adds two years to the standard warranty, is serviced by the manufacture, and is a bargain compared to the other 3rd party warranties.
They also include a free checkup and cleaning.
It is a no-brainer if you are buying a Pentax ILC K or Q camera.
