FULL OF BIG CAMERA FEATURES

By

from Yakima, Washington  -  Photo Enthusiast

I carry this little jewel with me along with my cell phone ever time I'm out for shopping or visiting. Both fit in a small camera case along with a spare charged battery for the P70.It is a fun camera and I love all the options it has. And it is so small.

Great Little Carry Anywhere Camera

Fun of fun features for a point n shoot. Small and I carry it all the time for those "found" or Kodak moments.

Very nice ultra compact

By

from Sunnyvale, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

After some research, I bought this, instead of a Canon, Sony, or Nikon, for my wife, who always puts size, appearance ahead of image quality. She takes mostly snapshots of travel scenes. P70 fits nicely in her purse, pocket and it looks attractive (we got the white model). I also like the image quality, which is very sharp with little visible digital processing effect, and color balance (the blue is a bit too strong like other Pentax brand) under good lightening. There are compromises in a compact camera like this, so you will have to adapt to make best use of it. I searched and examined all the sample photos I could find on the web. Almost all of them were taken with ISO 100 or ISO 200. So, trust the camera's electronic anti-shake rather than push ISO higher in low light. Again, if you want fast speed, you should look elsewhere for a dSLR.It is a very nice camera for its intended use at a very attractive price point offered by Adorama (much cheaper than[...]). My wife and I are very happy with this camera.

"PixelTrack What?"

By

from ohio  -  Photo Enthusiast

Don't pay any attention to what you've read about the PixelTrackshufflestabilizerhtingamajig and shot-to-shot times being too long. Turn it off if it bugs you. But you know what, it actually works, at least as good as my Nikon S51's optical stabilizer. Nice build quality (the white enamel is great), and a true 28mm lens for less than half the price makes it the best in class (this month anyway).

The Camera You Will Take With You...

By

from Elk Grove CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

I purchased this camera on a Kenny Rockwell recommendation- what a nice little camera! It performs better than I had expected and it is tiny! This camera is about the size of most cell phones and is easy to use; I take it with me every time I leave my house. The battery has great life- I have charged it once and have yet to kill the battery. It takes great pics and the menus are easy to use. I have recommended this camera to many friends, in spite of being a Nikon fan. This camera is superior to anything in its price range. The best camera is the one that's with you…
