Fun Little Camera
This is a fun little camera that begs to be taken along on outings. Is it a DSLR substitute? No, although, with its large CMOS APS-C sensor, it is capable of delivering DSLR-like images. The 20-50mm kit lens is small and light, consider it a "pancake zoom" and as mentioned earlier, it can deliver decent images. Keeping with the theme of "small and light", the supplied TTL external flash does the job its designed to do without adding a lot of weight or bulk when attached to the NX100. Sadly, it has no bounce ability for interior shots, but attaching a white index card to its bottom (using a rubber band) and bending the front of the card to a 45 degree angle, one can achieve the desired bounce effect. It's not very sexy looking, but it seems to work.
I wanted a smaller, grab-and-go camera and a complement to my DSLR. The NX100 certainly fills the bill in that regard. Though not quite "pocketable", I am more inclined to take it with me when I'm out and about. If you're in the market for a compact mirrorless camera, I feel the NX100 can offer a robust shooting experience to those wanting to upgrade from their point-and-shoots or to those wanting a 2nd grab-and-go backup camera to their DSLR.
If you get this camera, the first thing you should do is upgrade its firmware from Samsung's website. I addition to tweaking the camera's software, the upgrade adds the SWEEP PANORAMA function to the SCENES menu.
For those interested in the technical aspects of the NX100, I encourage you to research the numerous reviews that can be found online.
Lastly, kudos to Adorama for offering such a great deal for this camera bundle. It's the best online price I could find. Second, thanks for the speedy delivery; a full day ahead the earliest expected date.

like the i-function to shoot kid photos
love the i-function. works very well to shot kids photos. my wife's portrait photos look younger too and it makes her very happy.
with some effort, I attached an old minolta lens to it and got very good result but i'm lazy and I the samsung zoom lens came with the camera is good enough.

"great bang for the buck"
Used mostly for astrophotography. No mirror flop. Very lightweight, no need to rebalance telescope. Only bad thing, unable to shut off display when image is processing. Messes up your dark eye adaption.

The NX series is a hit
The NX100 is a great compact camera from samsung,I got his cousin the NX10. The only problem with nx100 is the view finder, but it won't be a problem if you're shooting in a not so bright area. The function controls are way easier than sony NEX 3,5, you will save at least 10 steps in changing the settings compare to sony nex camera. This camera will be best at indoor, outside in the house, soccer game. Also it has 30fps (30 pics in one second) burst mode good for fast action.

I bought this to back up my larger DSLR. It allows me to carry a great little camera with me.

I would buy it again
I bought this camera so I would not always have to carry my large camera around & I am happy with it it's not My Nikon D700 but it takes good pictures
