Nadi O : in comments, you told it supports 4K but it's not work with sony ax100 4K video camera! Do you have any idea about this?RICHARD M : I have not used this for 4K. I believe san disk just came out with a 256GB 4k card.RONALD B : I don't have any experience with the Sony video camera. I use these cards in a Nikon D750 and a Nikon D7100 DSLR with HD Movie capability. The cards work great in those cameras with fast save speed.
MELISSA B : I am considering purchasing the Sony A77 DSLR. Will the Sony 64 GB memory card be sufficient or is there another memory card that might work better that is compatible with Sony? ThanksRICHARD B : Sorry, missed this question some how. Anyway, I have the 32 gb version and the A77 and the card is more than sufficient to handle the A77. I think the Sandisk version also performs well.JOHN W : This card will work great with your Sony!MOHAMED S : Hi, I use my card for products photography. So I can't tell you about transfer speed. I'm assuming its fast enough. 94 MB is very decent. Quality is really the same like other cards so to me it was the price.. Comparability wise I really can't tell you... I hope I helped you to decide .... Cheers ARTHUR K : Friend, 64GB of storage space is more than enough. With a sophisticated camera such as the Sony A77 you need to look at another factor which is far more important that storage space ... recording speed. The A77 is capable of extremely rapid exposure sequences. In common terms it is capable of rapid fire exposure simply by holding the exposure button down. Therefore, rather than worry about storage space ... concern yourself with exposure speed. Sony makes a 64GB memory card which is capable of 94MB/s read speed. (Sony 64GB SDXC UHS-1 Memory Card, 94 MB/s Read Speed). This is especially useful when shooting sporting events. Dr. KirkBARBARA S : I bought this memory card with 32 GB for our Sony A77 camera and it has worked great! We have had no problems with it.JOHN B : I have a A77 I use mine with the 32GB version of this card. It is by far the fastest card I have tried. In burst mode with this card really unleashes the speed of the A77 even in .jpg+RAW. I was really shocked how much slower my other Class 10 cards are. If your going to want to really use all the speed the A77 has the fastest card is a must.ALVIN T : I use my 32GB on a Sony NEX-5N (16.1MP) and am quite happy with the capacity, since I rarely take more than 250 still shots at one time. The faster 94MB/s is so much better than the my back up 16GB, 30MB/s SD card. Depending on what format you shoot, with a 24.3MP Alfa 77, I definitely will consider a 64MB (or higher) card and a back up of the same speed. Hope this helps. AlCHARLES W : This is my first Sony card purchase and I am quite satisfied with it'sperformance. It is always advisable when investing in higher end memory cards to check with the camera makers web site or DPReview for compatability issues. It would be difficult to fathom for Sony to produce a card that was not compatible with their cameras! My purchase was to support my Nikon D7000. I am a Raw shooter and cover some sport events where bursts are needed. This card keeps up well. I have been eminently satisfied with the card, and it is quick, but it does not feel as though it is achieving write speeds approaching 90mb/sec. I have a 32gb Sandisk Pro with comparable read/write speeds and will be comparing the performance of these two cards in the future.STEVEN B : This card works well in my NIKON d800 which is a memory hog so I guess the 6i4 GB card would work in your Sony. I usually stick with lexar and sandisk cards but the Sony card was more bang for the buck. DANIEL K : I use the 32 GB card, write speed is 45 MB/s (read 94). The card is snappy, there are only a couple of faster cards out there, the Sandisk Extreme Pro writes 95 MB/s. The higher speeds helps if you use burst mode a lot since the buffer clears a bit faster. The A77 can use the fastest SD cards available today. For size, 32GB holds about 900 RAW+JPEG images.STEVEN R : I have used the 32GB version of this card with very good results. I also have a couple of the SanDisk UHS-I cards, which seem to possibly be ever-so-slightly faster than the Sony's--but pretty much the same out in the real world. Other brands should work fine, but I would highly recommend you stick to a UHS-I model. If you want to shoot with the a77's 10 or 12 frame per second burst rate (especially in RAW) then it is essential! Other non-UHS class-10 cards take *far* longer to store a burst of photos (even up to 30 seconds at 12fps) and will leave you waiting and missing quite a few shots. Perhaps check out the SanDisk Extreme Pro UHS-I SD cards, but you won't go wrong with this Sony card either in my opinion. Good luck!ALAN E : MB, The 64Gb card will provide you with over 900 shots - hi-res JPEGs + RAW. I can't imagine that you would need anything else - at least for a few hours of shooting. The UHS-1 is compatible with the A77 and you will experience extremely high transfer speeds. Good choice! AE

No complains

I use this memory card with my sony rx10. I have shot 100s of pictures and 2 hours videos in the AVCHD format and still had plenty of room in the card. I use FCPX to upload the videos directly from the card and it has a great response time. Its not cheap but for the money its worth every penny.

Had an error while recording my son's performance

I bought this SD Card about 3 months ago, and used it for the first time in February to record my son's performance in his school. When I recorded for about an hour, the SD card had problem, and my cam corder (SONY HDR CX900) could not write or read the SD card any more, and I could not record my son's performance. I was so disappointed. I want this to be replaced.

waste and slow write speed.

Write speed is exceptionally important. Do you want your camera waiting for the card to 'catch up'. Yes most cameras now will do photography multiple stills and HD video, whoever, the card can't write quick enough to catch up to the camera. Weakest link syndrome. Skip this and get a sandisk card that is 95mb/s read and 90 mb/s write. Otherwise, don't expect to be taking a lot of pics without standing and waiting, or take a video and it becomes jerky as heck.

Sony 64GB SDXC UHS-1, 94 MB/s Read Speed

To make long story short, here is the conclusion: if you are buying the card for the photography, go with the Sandisk Extreme(not Sandisk Extreme Pro, pro is twice as expensive). The extreme is same price, and storage, just faster write speed. if you are buyihg the card for application that the writing speed is sufficent, like many video recorders, then this card is better for you, because you do not need faster write speed, but you get the read speed which is double of the Sandisc Extreme. I dispise how manufacturers do not come clean with the specification of write speeds. I would take all stars away for disseption. However, all manufacturers do this. Even the wonderful Sandisk, who specifies the write speed for the top of the line cards, where they "kick but", but for lesser cards they do not. So relative to everyone else, Sony is on par: desiving like everyone else. So I only took one star for deseption, eventhough deseption should cost all stars. As far as the product it self it is my opinion that I would have been better off to buy Sandisk Extreme. It specifies 45MB/s for both write and read. The Sony card has over 2x read speed. However, in my tests, I believe the write speed is one half of the Sandisk Extreme(not the pro). While the price for this card was a little higher then the Sandisk Extreme (not the pro). Had Sony specified the write speed, I would not feel mislead. I would spend the same money( a little bit less), have the same storage space and probably twice as much writhing speed, though the read speed is double, for which I do not care as much as for write speed. In conclusion: if you are buying the card for the photography, go with the Sandisk Extreme(not the pro, pro is twice as expensive). Same price, and storage, just faster write speed. if you are buyihg the card for application that the writing speed is sufficent, like many video recorders, then this card is better for you, because you do not need faster write speed, but you get the read speed which is double of the Sandisc Extreme. Another note to Sony: Charging similar price for Sony UHS-1, to Sandisk Extreme is unfair. Having fast read speed is easy, because everyone has fast read speed. It is write speed that is difficult to do. Sandisk Extreme is much faster in writing then Sony UHS-1. Why do you think you deserve to charge the same amount of money(higher actually) then Sandisk Extreme?
