There are 3 snaps on the bottom, release 1 and the the cover flips from the back over the front and dangles underneath. You may take pictures like this or release the other 2 snaps on the bottom and release the whole hoodANDREW R : Yes, this case comes in two parts. The upper cover may be removed from the camera while leaving the bottom portion attached during use.
