Thumbs up Sony!
I purchased 6 of these after doing a lot of research in using these vs SXS Pro+ cards for my F5. I consulted with my Sony dealer, Sony directly, other F5/55 users I know, and on the Sony forums with other F5/55 owner/operators all over the globe.
They do work flawlessly as promised for all formats currently available on the Sony F5 with FW v3.0. I tested and later shot in all the formats and these cards performed just like my 2 SXS Pro + cards I originally purchased with my F5 including all the avalible high frame rates.
I would certainly recommend these specially if you are looking to carry a lot of media with you on those long shoot days or long trips where transferring everyday or as you fill cards up may not be an option.
The fact that Sony wrote in to the FW of both the F5 and F55 to be able to use this media, was what sold me. The only suggestion I would make is stay with all the Sony components (Sony XQD "S" cards, Sony SXS adaptor for XQD and Sony reader) as I have heard that other third party cards have had issues (not sure of the specs or speed of those cards).
The savings between these and the SXS Pro+ substantial being that one SXS Pro+ 64GB currently sells for $835 vs $310 one of these.
One last thing… you MUST use the "S" series. Do not get anything else as you will need all of the 180MB/s R/W speed of this card. the others are slower.
