Bought this originally for holding slave flashes. My grandaughter was visiting and propping her phone up with book and what ever was at hand. I had a very nice jellyfish phone holder tripod bracket and this flex tripod. Set her up and she thinks it is great. I like using it for flashes as well the ball head works great at that small load but a camera (M4/3) was pushing it. So this is pretty high quality for what you are paying the ball head is pretty good and can lock down a small load quite well.

It's small and cheap - and that is exactly what I wanted. quick positioning instead of using your T-shirt or something else to find the right angle

I got two mini-tripods with my camera purchase. This one is just very small and when the camera sits up on top I feel nervous about it toppling over. I wouldn't recommend this...especially for anything larger than a point & shoot.

My intended use is for positioning a flash to point slightly downwards towards a small object for macrophotography. The particular combination of stiffness and orientation of the legs make that difficult, even for a relatively light flash that already points downward. I couldn't keep it from toppling. I am thinking of building my own anchor for the rear leg. The ball head seems to be of reasonable quality. I don't see much of a need for the case (a bag, really) to protect such an inexpensive piece of equipment (unless it is to prevent other things for getting tangled in it) - so I would have preferred to shave off a couple of dollars and not have the case. I think this would be a perfect thing for a number of purposes, and I think overall it is worth it for me despite limitations.

The combination of a table top tripod and ball head is pure genius. The legs offer stability and the ball head offers flexibility. Indispensible for use with a telephoto lens and video!

I use this product when taking still shots of tabletop settings, low and long exposures or to get close to the subject w/o using telephotos. Very nice and compact little piece.

This tripod is PERFECT for a regular digital camera. I just keep it attached to the camera so that I never have to say "should have brought the tripod!", and often use it just like a handle when just toting the camera around. It's small enough to fit the whole assembly in my purse, too. The ball joint at the top is key, as well, so that you can tilt the camera vertically. I can see some heavier cameras would topple it, but mine works fine this way. (By contrast, the Gorilla pod is three x's the price and doesn't have the ball joint functionality, as far as I have seen.) I really hope Adorama gets a new supply as I want to buy a few for gifts!
