Easy to set up & Dependable.

I set this up with a standard muslin background by myself in about 15 minutes. I've found it easiest to use raist the smallest portion first, tighten the quick release then move to the other support and just go back and forth until its up. Its sturdy, feels solid an I believe it'll last.

Broken when received

I needed a portable stand to take to offices for corpirate headshots. Unfortunately, when I opened up the stand it was double boxed and still was broken when I pulled it out. This is a spring loaded stand which in my experience break easier. Obviously this was a manufacturer defect. Adorama was great about sending me a return label and I am exchanging it for a different brand after speaking with customer service.

Very durable

Strong enough to hold the weight of a 10x20 denny freedom cloth with out too much sag (very minimal) in the center. Can't complain for the price paid... would buy again!

Gets the job done

By

from Albuquerque, NM  -  Pro Photographer

Very Flexable unit which packs up to approximately 43.5 inches high and 6.5 inches diameter.Width can be adjusted for a smaller seamless as well as the 9' rolls. Base stands are sturdy and can be scrunched up to fit in a tight spot. So far so good. The zipper on the bag though seems suspect in that it is the small caliber not the larger butch type. I fear down the road I'll have to replace it.

I use it for backdrops. I like locking collars for easy telescoping.

Very Pleased

By

from Asheville, NC  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I am very pleased with this background support set! Initially I did not think it was going to work for me because it does not have a telescoping bar, and must be set up at just over 6'. Once I got it set up in a place that I could manage, I've found it to be very easy to work with - sturdy, lightweight enough, and the price was right. I purchased 107" seamless paper - far too long for my abilities to transport - so I cut that to the extended length of the support bar. Perfect. And, I see no reason why one could not fashion a support bar with pvc pipe if one needed to go shorter.

Awesome Background Support for Muslins

Even with the extra weight of muslin backdrops this system did not sag.... What a time saver!!! No need to adjust... Just hang a shoot!!

No Sag Support for Muslin Back Drops!!

By

from Zanesville, Ohio  -  Pro Photographer

I have a couple of great hand painted muslin backdrops that with other supports would droop down in the middle due to the weight.... That is not the case with this support. This support has saved me so much time now that I do not have to adjust the scene with clamps to off set the sag. Every thing about this package is heavy duty... A little heavy to carry around, but well worth the investment.... I love it!!

Great Item for the $$

By

from Josephine, TX  -  Casual Photographer

We bought this for use in a craft show to act as booth dividers. We will be hanging curtains from them. It is extremely easy to assemble and handles the weight of the curtains quite nicely. Of course, you would not want to hang from it, but for the purpose we bought it for, it is perfect.

Great buy for the money.

By

This is a very sturdy background system that is well worth the price. The stands are very strong, stable and spring loaded. The locking levers for the extensions make it very easy to use. It is also extremely portable and versatile. A 9' roll of paper is a challenge for one person to handle, but two people can handle one easily. It will also accommodate shorter rolls.

Questions about this item:

Shelster A  Are the knobs plastic (Composite) or is it metal? I already have a plastic one and I want a solid metal that won't break in a year.
PHILLIP S  They utilize compression clamps, not set screw. The compression ring is metal and the knob is resin coated for ergonomics. It’s heavy duty. I’ve been using this setup for years and never had any problems. It is probably the best “bang for buck” purchase I’ve made. You will not be disappointed with the quality and price point. Good luck.
Shelster A  Thank you Phillip that helps tons!
kate f  Of the three cross bar sections, there are two end sections. One section has two oval holes to attach to the stand, but the other section only has one oval hole. Shouldn't there be two oval holes on each end section to bolt the pole to the stands? Why are there two holes on one end and only one on the other? Am I doing something wrong?
TOM H  You might have one of the pieces backwards. Mine clearly have 2 oval holes on each end.
kate f  Uh, nope. One hole on one end of one section. Yes, I did check both ends of the section.
