The JVC GY-HM790U ProHD ENG / Studio Camera is a modular, 1/3" shoulder-mount video camera that comes with a Canon 14x zoom and is equally at home in the studio or in the field. Capable of recording 1080i/p, 720p 480i video to native MP4 or Final Cut Pro files for the most efficient workflow, the GY-HM790U also offers a full complement of broadcast features, including HD-SDI output, 4:2:2 sampling, timecode, genlock variable frame rates. Its ability to record to dual, hot-swappable SD/SDHC cards means affordable access to readily available media, which can be coupled with an optional SxS recorder for extended or backup capture. Optional studio components add another layer of professional functionality, placing the GY-HM790U in truly the best of both worlds.
