First the good side: the camcorder has an excellent video resolution, which is not the same as an excellent picture. Now the negative: the image, especially color control is overengineered, resulting in perpetual color changes during the same scene triggered by subtle changes in the background. The display image markedly deviates from the actual recorded image - it is near perfect on the display, way too dark after recording. The worst, however is its susceptibility to hardware problems, example the display internally being disconnected, requiring expensive labor. The warranty in the US is 90 labor, 1 yr parts, in Canada one year for both. Why?
