Shopper : Tell me how the tripod strap work please. Can I attach & carry the tripod when I use the bag?LYNN I : Have not used this rucksack with a tripod attached.LEE B : Sorry. Too new. Haven't carried a tripod yet. SENIOR PET CARE P : To be honest, I really don't know where the tripod straps are myself. From what I see on the backpack, I can assume you can only use one of those very small ones that can be slide in on the side bands on the side of the backpack, but am not sure 100%. As far as I see, there are no straps that can hold good solid large tripod anywhere. I'm planning to carry my tripod separate in the tripod carrying case along with the backpack. Otherwise the backpack itself is the best camera backpack that I ever seen so far, with solid construction and very thought-out configuration. I feel very secure to place my equipment and laptop in this to carry around! Perfect for traveling too, as this comes with the rain cover and it has strap for slide it on the carrying handle of the suitcase.NAM M : I bought this back pack because I want to carry the tripod when I use the bag, however there is no manual or any hint or any picture to show you to use it therefore I do not know how to use it. After all, I use the back pack to carry my camera only. I wish the mfg. enclosed some manual or some picture show you how to attach the tripod. In the future if there is any update for this Kata GDC Series R-101 Small Rucksack about the strap for the tripod, please post it in Adorama website. Thank you.ANDREW R : There are a set of straps that attach to the side of the bag that cinch and hold a compact tripod when using the bag.

I can carry the tripod attached to the bag?CHRIS C : Actuallly the R-101 does not come with a pouch, just straps that you would thread throught the loops on the sides. The larger R-103 comes with a tripod pouchCHRIS C : Actually, I don't think the R-101 comes with a pouch, only the straps. The larger bags come with pouches. For the R-101 you may have to tie the tripod on the side.CHRIS C : The tripod holding pouch and strap can be attached to the side or the front of the bag. There are hooks on the bottom for said straps so im sure you could tie it on there some how, but dont expect any instructions.

Nice small bag

Great for camera, lens and flash. Not for big jobs but easily carries what you need for trip to zoo of kids ball game.

Small but well made

Good for small stuff like going to kids sports game or zoo. Holds Canon 50D but tight with battery grip. Holds flash well and extra lens but tight if you add lens hood. Very well made.

The compact R-101 is designed to hold a D/SLR body with lens attached, and accessories or a Mini DV camcorder. The rear padded compartment will hold a small laptop (up to 12-inch) or additional accessories.

The special design gives quick, separate access to the camera in the central compartment, while the rest of the equipment surrounding it remains secure. Additional accessories and personal essentials can be stored in the spacious arched lid compartment, the 2 outside pockets, and the central mesh/vinyl pocket.

The ergonomic harness includes a unique cushioning and shock absorbing system, which allows for optimal ventilation and weight distribution. The Rucksacks include a well-padded dividing set, which allows you to organize it to fit your requirements, and if needed Kata's extra Modi-Vers Kits are available.
