Another Great Kingston Product!

I was surprised that something so small could have an even smaller component (micro sd card) inserted and work so well.

Handles SDXC

By

Found some info on the Kingston site indicating that this item handled SDXC. I had an older one that doesn't. Gave this is a shot, works great.

I'm using this tiny but mighty microSD usb reader with my Nexus 10 via an OTG USB cable. I love the size! Easy to plug in. Adorama shipped it the same day I ordered it and I got it fast!! Highly recommend!

Smallest microSD Card Reader Ever!

By

from Snohomish, WA  -  Professional

I've been using these Kingston readers for about 5 years now. I carry it on my keyring and found that they will simply stop working after a couple of years. No big deal since they are relatively inexpensive. Very handy to have a place to store data that hardly takes up any space. Highly recommended.

Works well

Very tiny, works well. Price is good too. However it's so tight, I had difficulty to remove the SD card after reading.

I needed a portable reader, this was the smallest I found. Easy to use, great price, so I bought two of them.

I plan to buy more

Fast and easy way to transfer files and images to my computer. Compact reader attaches to keychain so it never gets lost unless you lose your keys. I trust Kingston for their consistently dependable quality products.

I bought 5 of these and will buy more ..

I've settled on class-10 microSD cards (Fat32) to host my mobile digital content - music, photos & movies. I don't like handling microSD cards - too small for my paws - so I like to 'store' them in these USB microSD card readers. They will connect to any computer directly or to my Nexus using a 6-inch OTG cable (male microUSB to female std-USB). The bottom line, these card readers allow me to access my microSD media from any of my media devices.

Tiny and "upgradable"

By

from Texas  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

This tiny microSD card reader is replacing the previous tiny thumb drive I kept in my wallet. I like this one because it will be easily upgradable. I have a 16gb microSD card it in right now but I plan to get a 64gb for it in the future, and I can do so without having to worry about a change in size. I keep a copy of Windows 7 installed on this drive for emergency boots, as well as installation files for lots of apps. The size is perfect for my uses.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
robert r  A mistake
Shopper  What do you do with this reader?
CARLOS E  Carry it with my keychain with encrypted information. It proved useful at one time to read my phone's microSD in order to make a backup. This reader is not ultra-fast. It is a little slow even for a USB 2.0 device regardless of the speed of the memory in it, but if speed is not what you're looking for, it works well and it is tiny.
BENJAMIN C  Is this compatible with Mac? I purchased one some time ago by IOGEAR that won't work on a Mac. Thank you.
MACS R W  Flatly, yes. I use mine exclusive with a Mac.
