Works great

This is my third Kingston 8 GB SDHC Card. All three are used most every day. They are not the fastest I've ever used but they are plenty fast for my use as a hobbyiest. At first I was somewhat leary as these cards are such a great bargin. I've used these three cards moderately over several months and under normal hobbyist(meaning non professional) conditions and have had no problems

Works OK But A Bit Slow

This card is rated as Class 6, 6MB/second write speed. It meets that spec but is slow for my Nikon D80. I can only take three rapid shots and then have to wait for the card to finish before I can take another shot. An SD card should be able to keep up with a Nikon D80. My 4GB SanDisk SD cards are also rated Cleass 6 and are 2x as fast as this Kindgton card.

so far so good

This is my SECOND Kingston SDHC media card and the first class 6. i got it because I wanted to have suffficient storage for an extended photo trip taking images in both raw and fine on my D80. I had previously used only SanDisk but the big price differential and the hokey nature of rebate being offered by SaDisk strongly suggested Kingston. I've been through about 1/2K pics on the first card with no problems so I decided to opt for on the second one. They do seem to be a tad slower than SanDisk but for the snap shooting/family album type shooting that I do, that doesn't pose a problem.

Why pay more?

I had been using SanDisk exclusively since entering the digital age of photography. They are fast, durable and EXPENSIVE! When it came time to move to an 8 GB device, I decided to try a less expensive alternative and, after some research, landed on Kingston 8 GB class 2 and bought one for use with my D80. After several month of use, it proved so useful and suited my needs so well that I bought 2 more - this time at class 6 - for use on an extended photo vacation. Compared to SanDisk of the same class, the Kingston media seems slower in transfer to the card and when doing in-camera editing or review and, if I made my living creating massive files in a rapid fire fashion, this might be of concern. I don't and, for this hobbist, the kingstons are plenty fast and a great deal less expensive. Another, less important, reason for choosing something other than SanDisk was SanDisks annoying rebate pricing. Kingston pricing was straight forward and extremely competitive with none of SanDisk's hokey markdowns through tedious rebate routines.

Great card at an excellent price

We use this in our Canon SD790IS camera. It writes quickly and has been reliable. I have another Kingston Class 6 SDHC card for my other camera; been in use for over two years and works great.

Big card for a little camera

With video capacity, snap and shoot cameras are super easy to use with a larger capacity card. I use it for kids concerts and birthday parties. I never run out of space at an event. Downloading and creating a final product on the computer, then erasing the card make for a perfect workflow with this product.

Works As Expected

I am new to digital cameras and purchased this memory card to ensure that I do not run out of space when taking pictures. It is ample space for shooting video and taking hundreds of photos at the highest setting. No problems and plenty of space still on the card after 3 family events.

High capacity, good price

I am using this product in a 14 megapixel digital SLR camera. Even on the highest setting, it allows me to store a lot of images. It's also a fast card (class 6). That's a lot for a low price. Only con is that regular SD card readers can't read it.

Lots of storage for a very low price

I purchased the card to shoot a wedding with my Nikon D80. I took over 900 images and could have shot a couple of hundred more. I wore out before the card filled up! No problem with the card keeping up. Great value for a very low price. I'm planning on taking it on vacation next week. Because of the great storage capacity, I won't have to download images until I get home.

Nice card, good value

This card is a good value. I can download and play H.264 video on the PS3 with no issues. For the price, this is a good choice. If you need cutting edge speed for pro photographers, maybe the Lexar Pro 133x.

Great card

Purchased this for a Canon A720 camera. Unwrapped the card, inserted in into the slot, formatted, then WOW!! the picture counter estimated over 3700 pictures capacity (the camera is an 8 Mpix). One could fit an entire vacation on a card like this! Very happy with product so far, would definitely recommend it!

Good Card

I have only recently started using SD and SDHC cards. I have always used CF cards before. I have 2 Kingston 8 GB SDHC cards that I use together with my 8 GB Sandisk Extreme III CF cards in my Canon 1 Ds Mark II 1 Ds Mark III SLRs. I do outdoor photography in sometimes extreme heat or cold. I shot some pictures last week in 17 degree weather and had no problems with the cards. My only complaint is that the SDHC format is not compatable with my SD external card readers. Until I buy a new one, the only way I can down load pictures is direct from the camera to the computer. This is not a significant problem.

Card works, but...

This 8GB SDHC card is rated at a class 6. I am used to the Extreme III series from Sandisk and there is a very noticable difference between the two at least in read speed. When reviewing pictures on the Extreme III card in my Nilon D80, you can switch from picture to picture in less than a second or about as fast as you can press the button. I would venture to guess that on the Kingston card, it's probably 1.5-2 seconds per picture. That doesn't sound like much until you are used to the faster times. Other than that, I don't have enough experience with the new card to provde more feedback.

Works good in my video camera

Bought it to go in my new Sanyo Exacti Waterproof camcorder (blue) and it works just like Sanyo recommended. Sanyo said to buy the most powerful card I could get and this one works well...no regrets. Movies play back well, pictures are crystal clear.
