Works well

I use it for downloading thousands of wedding photos after each wedding. So far it is very reliable and works just like my old Sandisk USB2.0 card reader, except much faster. I think it maxes out somewhere around 100mb at burst (about as fast as the internal hard drive will write, and something like 60mb sustained...but in any case it's a lot faster than USB2.0. Price is also pretty good for a USB3.0 reader. Overall I have had very good experiences with Kingston products. No failures as of yet (RAM, flash drives, card readers). I give 4 stars only because I am conservative in my ratings and have not used it for longer than a few weeks. It has not given my any problems at all, but to give 5 stars so soon would be premature IMO.

High speed card reader

By

from Virginia  -  Value Oriented

I wanted a fast card reader that I can keep in my bag for use in the field. It's compact and appears durable. I chose this over the Lexar because of price. Although I can't make a direct comparison, the Kingston does exactly what I need.

Use this reader for importing photos from the camera SDHC cards. Very fast. Have used it a few times to write to cards also, works very well.

Very pleased! It's Fast!

My desktop is usb 2.0 and I've noticed a definite increase in uploading speed. I've yet to try it on my usb 3.0 laptop. Delivery to West Coast (LA) was in 3 business days with USPS which was a day faster than promised.

Adds efficiency to shoots.

Excellent Product. It is very thin and portable, fitting in camera bag or backpack with ease. 3.0 usb is fast keeping upload times low. Cards slide in without any fuss. This reader is a blessing for me. It allows me to use multiple type of cards with my tablet making shoots much more efficient.

Excellent Card Reader

By

from Arkansas  -  Quality Oriented

This card reader does what it is intended to do in a fast, efficient manner. I have not run timed tests but it appears to load files much faster than previous card readers I have used. It also seems to be a stronger construction. Inserting cards has a firmer feel than other readers. I have mostly used CF cards, but have also tried SD cards.

Straightforward card reader

After having an internal reader go bad I wanted something simple and no instalation. Bingo, Kingston delivered perfectly. No complaints whatsoever and USB 3.0.

Really fast upload and sturdy pin mount

By

from Staten Island  -  Quality Oriented

Uploads from files on Nikon 800e into Lightroom very fast. Other card readers sometimes cannot mount compact flash cards well, but this one has a confident feel.

GREGORY S  I replaced my imagemate all in one with this, but check your specs to make sure it is compatible with the cards you use
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
edward w  There were not many on the market at that time, and Kingston has a good name, so I bought it..NO PROBLEMS either! Eddie
Shopper  Does this accept a ID San Disk?
PETE G  The product accepts any SD card that I have used in it. It is backward compatible to 3.o SD, CF and others. I don't know what "ID" SD is specifically but my reader has worked with any type of SD with no problems for tow years.
