My uncle, professional artist/photographer, always asks me to purchase the TXP and send it to him (he's located internationally where it's not as easy to get). He asks me at least once every single year. It's crucial to his work.

Only film I shoot my work on. Tonal range is huge. Just wish Adorama stocked more of it.

This is the finest black and white 8x10 sheet film available today. There is no equal. The thick KODAK ESTAR base is extremely stable and handles drastic shifts in temperature with great reliability. The emulsion renders images with unbridled acuity. If your image is not razor sharp, perhaps you should use a DSLR with autofocus, because clarity, definition, and dynamic range are found in abundance in this film. Unlocking the potential of this gem-like material requires dedication to camera work and a passion for the silver print.

The Tri-X Pan TXP Professional 4164 Black & White Film boasts a wide exposure latitude, delivering excellent gradation and brilliant highlights. With an ISO of 320, it provides medium contrast and a moderate degree of enlargement, making it a versatile choice for various shooting conditions.
